i've been on this site for quite a long time and i just got to wondering something.

How many people here have actually met someone in their respective cities that are also on CollarMe?

Hi michael,

I have met actually met, face to face 5 people from here. Two Doms and 3 subs. But then again I live near Indianapolis. Are you in a more rural area? That could be a problem obviously.
Also, curious....why are you hesitant about approaching the Domme? You are nice looking man, you should be more confident.

I have met several people form here, including my litttle one.  All of them were within a couple of hours of where I am (my little one only being 15 minutes away, lucky me) .  Together we have also met with a few people one who introduced us to a private dungeon where we had the luck of meeting a few other people.  Not all of the meetings were great but I (and we) have never had a bad meeting.

My wife and I have met over 20 people from collarme, many we have met at a play party or two and several we have met to interview as submissives. We also have met some people from out of the state of Arizona where we live, that have come to us for training. If you can get past the HNGs and the peepers and wannabes you can find some really nice people out there. We also just recently collared a lovely submissive female that I originally sent an e-mail from this site.

I've met half a dozen or so solely from CM.  But I've met a few dozen before CM or through other things and then found them here on CM.

Not that this isn't just another repeated attempt at wondering why you're alone and then letting us all know how it's just not possible for you to be happy.

i'm in Columbus GA, home of Ft Benning. nothing much happens here.

MistressKoda -> RE: Local People on CollarMe (6/26/2006 2:01:11 PM)

columbus, ga has a pretty good munch group there..actually i've heard recently there are 2 groups.  doesn't look all that hard to find like-minded people in your area to hang out with and be friends with.

just get out there to a monthly munch.

getting there is part of the problem, i was lucky enough to manage to attend two of the munches for CUFF.

MasterKalif -> RE: Local People on CollarMe (6/26/2006 11:52:28 PM)

wow you guys have been lucky or more pro-active than me, I think I would meet more people from CM if I lived in a bigger city or in another state than RI....[&:]
I am not so much into munches, as I prefer to hang out with people closer my age...[8|]

I am not sure how many local submissive boys I have met, for coffee etc. (I have also been stood up a few times! *Smile*)  I have also met 4 FemDoms, talked to others on the phone, and count two Male Doms as local friends.  All from this site. I am in correspondence with others in the state who are not real convenient to My location, and I have had 4 boys who have traveled to meet Me, (one from the UK).
Basically I think if you are open and honest and willing to get your butt out there, it is not that hard to safely meet and greet. If you are in BFE, and you have to travel for several hours, I can understand it might be more difficult, but I do think it is possible for anyone with a mindset to get out from behind a monitor and interact over a cup of coffee or tea.

Amen.  But you do need that mindset - if your mindset is "I can't I can't I can't" then it's just not going to happen.

Absolutely. Life rarely drops what you want into your lap, most of the time you have to grab reality by the nuts and squeeze till it cries uncle and gives you what you want. Get out there, have fun, if you have to go to great lengths to do so then thats what you have to do. If you decide it isn't worth the effort then you can't complain at sitting on your arse in front of the TV twiddling your thumbs, the only person to blame is yourself.

I have met a few from this site ... some are still to this day really good friends ... there are a few I wouldn't mind having lunch with either. never be afraid to go after something you want .. if they are taken . at least remain friends with them . you never know what the future holds ..
