One of the things everyone seems to be overlooking is that Maggie and Ronnie worked together to end the Red Menace out of Moscow. I used those ancient phrases on purpose. There were some really scary people involved in the cold war.

I'm sorry, but that's utter drivel. All the wicked witch donated to the war on Moscow was allowing Scotland to be used as a missile base and blowing a fortune on Trident.

And you would both be wrong.

The Iron Lady was pivotal in keeping Ronald Reagan on track in preventing nuclear war.

Really? And how did she manage that, pray tell?

I admit that I did admire her back when she was first elected (was 12yo) because she showed me that women can do the same things that men can do. The Queen is second, with Anne McCaffrey (american author) third...

Lift 300 lbs... no? Ok, theory broken. :) And exceptions prove the rule...

Let me answer your question with a question.

What side of the Iron Curtain did the name "The Iron Lady" come from?

i'm lost here. are you suggesting that men can lift 300lb and women can't? coz if that's the case you need to bring your head back into the real would where the vast majority of men can't either sweetheart.

strength is subjective. i can control half a ton of manic horse that most men can't, and i don't just mean sitting on it. i handle that weight from the floor and have seen so called strong men dragged across the floor like rag dolls. your theory smashed.

actually you need to do some research. she was already called that before the russian press used it. they tried using it as an insult not realising that alot of publicly strong women have the lable applied to them.

Sadly I shall most probably still be out of Town when the funeral takes place, still traveling back from the deep south.
Otherwise I would have most certainly been there to pay my respects....

.... and then I awoke in a cold sweat wondering where on earth my morals had disappeared to to have me thinking such a thing.
It was all just a silly dream, all is right in the world.

But the fact remains that I shan't be in town at the time, so if there is any trouble, I have an alibi.

So she brought down the soviet union as a result of Pravda using a term the British yellow press had coined to describe her, then?

Here I thought it was because her old prune was so rusty.

Imagine my surprise in her singlehandedly taking down the soviet union, I think you English are trying to start a fight with us again, everybody knows that none other than St. Wrinklemeat is the only one who was capable of that.

I think somebody is trying to suggest that Saint Ronnie of the Monster Deficit couldn't have managed it without the Wicked Witch's help as Nancy refused to suck his wrinkled meat, unlike the milk snatcher.

Sarah Palin would have turned up as well if the Wicked Witch hadn't snubbed her the other year...

To be fair, by last year, she could have been snubbing the nearest gatepost and not known the difference.
