Yay! Here are two thoughts. #1/ Every time you get the urge to reach for a smoke, repeat these simple words, out loud, in as serious a tone of voice as you can muster, with emphasis on the question mark, as if you really did wonder. "Why do I want a cigarette? I don't smoke!" It's a lie, of course. But your subconscious will forgive you that, and just write down the message... to give to YOU, later. "Hmmm... Doesn't smoke. Got it." After a dozen or twenty repetitions, you will be able to feel the difference. #2/ Don't quit. Losers quit. And quitters lose. You are neither. You are a winner. Winners retire. After long service. So, Retire from smoking. It's just a word. What difference can it make? If that's what you really think, I'll throw it right back. It's just a word. What difference can it make? There is no reason you can point at not to try it. Some folks put the $$$ they don't spend in a jar, as a sort of visual aid. You might. But the first two are what did it for me.
