quote:
ORIGINAL: PeonForHer FR I've got to say: Jesus, I never cease to be shocked by just how harsh women can be towards other women. It really does make me shudder, at times. Earlier, I posed the question, 'Supposing one of the women doing the accusing, here, was your sister?'. I was half-consciously addressing that to men, not to women. Hell, maybe I should have addressed it specifically to women. Men, I think, generally know that they're somewhat at sea when it comes to the issue of rape. They don't understand, at root, and know that they don't understand. So they compensate, mainly by being careful and 'considering of all sides'. Women, though - they can be sometimes frighteningly certain of where they are on the matter. If they want to defend those women who've claimed they've been raped, they really go for it; but if they want to attack those women who've claimed they've been raped, they really bloody go for that, instead. Infinitely big cuddle, or infinitely big cudgel. It's quite startling, sometimes, to me. Because we are women, We know the tricks most of our gender pull, We know how manipulative and cuntastical our gender truly is. And Women who have been raped tend to be VERY harsh on women who claim to have been but their stories stink worse then a fish market that ran out of ice on a 90 degree day.
