I was going to reply to this thread but on a re-read of the OP I noticed it was refering to a D/s relationship of which I have no experience so I'm bowing out and leaving it to the D/s folk......

my former Ma'am called me "Mine"...that's how She addressed me all the time..sometimes other terms like "girl" or other things if we were playing or something. But publicly and whenever She wrote to me, it was always as "mine".... my Master now calls me by my name most of the time. i would prefer something like "girl" or whatever but it's His choice. i call Him Sir or Master.

Tal IB, I think you are letting a someone get the better of you. Your posts and contributions to the boards is an asset to this community. You easily make Gor feasible to the lifestyle and after reading your antagonists posts it is clear that this person is just intent on poking wholes in everyone’s practice. I just dealt with one of those myself, someone who had to belittle and diminish another so they could feel superior. In the end the attacker looks like an ass and your posts stand on their own merit.

Terms of endearment are encouraged in our relationship. He's "sweetheart" or "darling" or "baby" or, most commonly "love." I'm "love" mostly. We're also "Boy" and "girl" both to each other and our friends. Not entirely sure how the nicknames evovled, but that's what 90% of our friends call us.
