I love Star Trek, The Next Generation.

i am with you, TNG was great.  Patrick Stewart as Jean Luc Picard.....be still my beating heart!  lol

skw

Oh well I guess I will have to admit that my wife and I are huge trekie fans. I grew up with the original Star Trek on TV, saw the first movie in a theatre.
Now I do agree with you ladies that Patrick Stewart was excellent as Captain Picard, much better than Shatner as Kirk, however Captain Janeway is my favorite. Nothing like a strong-willed assertive woman who also cleans up nicely. We also must not forget 7 of 9 in her skin tight outfit, now those are the things that fetish dreams are made of.
As far as the OPs question, I have seen alien language handle differently by different writers in several of the books that I have read. Some writers just use english and say that the alien is speaking on what ever language. Then I have read one book that had Klingon used and it had a dictionary in the back so you could translate. Interesting to sat the least.

OMG, that is just decadent sounding. Thank god there are no good pastry shops in my quiet little hillbilly hood. I would have to turn my butt sideways to fit thru doorways.

I got so excited I forgot how to spell quiet!

I know what you mean, we lived in the Orlando area for over 11 years where I was a pastry chef for a little Mickey Mouse place. When I retired we moved back to Arizona where I am from originally. We also live in a small little town with not much in the way of good food, but fortunately I have lots of time to bake and cook.  Enjoy the forums.

OK...now I am not against strange fetishes, but a green dancing slave might be a hard limit for me. Well...hmmm, unless they might have the keys to the USS Enterprise...planet racing anyone?

I am such a trekkie it is rediculous. I have all the action figures from the movies and TNG, unopened and bubble wrapped. I am hoping one day to sell on ebay. I have all of the ships and all of the hand held toys (phasers, medical and other toys). I have read the books. In fact there is a "Klingon Dictionary" for those who are really interested in learning Klingonese.

No way!!! Even though I don't get the trek fascination I do like knowing there are other adults that love toys....as in kids toys.....as much as me! And a dictionary?? How wild is that.....

The best part of having grandkids is I get to buy toys and claim its for them!!! Fortunately they have no interest in My/their toys.......
