Theproof of Richwine's bigotry is that there is no way he wrote a Phd dissertation on the subject of IQ without finding the copious research showing IQ tests show a cultural and test taking experience bias.

You can't make an open and shut case on that basis.

Behavioral genetic research has established that the construct of g is highly heritable. It has a number of other biological correlates, including brain size. It is also a significant predictor of individual differences in many social outcomes, particularly in education and the world of work. The most widely accepted contemporary theories of intelligence incorporate the g factor.

G is not IQ as that wiki article makes clear.

G is not IQ as that wiki article makes clear.

The debate over intelligence and intelligence testing focuses on the question of whether it is useful or meaningful to evaluate people according to a single major dimension of cognitive competence. Is there indeed a general mental ability we commonly call "intelligence," and is it important in the practical affairs of life? The answer, based on decades of intelligence research, is an unequivocal yes.

No matter their form or content, tests of mental skills invariably point to the existence of a global factor that permeates all aspects of cognition. And this factor seems to have considerable influence on a person's practical quality of life. Intelligence as measured by IQ tests is the single most effective predictor known of individual performance at school and on the job. It also predicts many other aspects of well-being...

From the article you chose to use as a source
quote:

Conversely, because every mental test is "contaminated" by the effects of specific mental skills, no single test measures only g. Even the scores from IQ tests--which usually combine about a dozen subtests of specific cognitive skills--contain some "impurities" that reflect those narrower skills.

g is not IQ test results as I previsously stated and the two are not the same. Why you think posting pop science articles on the subject, which if they are any good will say that IQ is not g, is going to prove your point is beyond me.

Maybe in the future you should actually read the entire article before posting stuff that contradicts your thesis.

The observation that "g" is not an IQ score is irrelevant to whether IQ scores serve as a good proxy for "g". And in fact, IQ predicts the outcomes that "g" would predict (as previously illustrated). It is interesting to wonder how much of "g" the tests actually capture, and how much they are missing, but the fact remains that they capture enough of "g" to make real world predictions that hold up.

A lot of that is because doing well on an IQ test means both high g and a familiarity with the culture the test was written in. However since we are specifically discussing immigrants and the children of immigrants the IQ test scores of those immigrants, not familiar with our culture, then the IQ test is not an accurate measure of g.
