Some day, in future UKistan, I think Christianity, en mass, shall be missed.

Christianity declining 50pc faster than thought – as one in 10 under-25s is a Muslim

Christianity could be facing a catastrophic collapse in Britain according to official figures suggesting it is declining 50 per cent faster than previously thought.

A new analysis of the 2011 census shows that a decade of mass immigration helped mask the scale of decline in Christian affiliation among the British-born population – while driving a dramatic increase in Islam, particularly among the young.

It suggests that only a minority of people will describe themselves as Christians within the next decade, for first time.

Meanwhile almost one in 10 under 25s in Britain is now a Muslim.

The proportion of young people who describe themselves as even nominal Christians has dropped below half for the first time.

Secular campaigners said the new figures showed that Christianity had now dropped below “critical mass” making the case for disestablishing the Church of England stronger.

Keith Porteous Wood, executive director of the National Secular Society, said the long-term reduction of Christianity, particularly among young people, was now “unstoppable”.

“In another 20 years there are going to be more active Muslims than there are churchgoers,” he said.

Christianity is not being replaced with secular humanism or the rationalist, science based, approach of atheism, but with Islam and Paganism.

Ignoring the pagan aspect, people will one day look back, nostalgically, at the tolerance Christianity had, despite its stance on such as marriage and homosexuality. Islam and Sharia Law are not tolerant of the infidel.

The hatred so many have of Christianity will one day bite them in the ass. Christianity won't disappear, but Churchianity might possibly do so, having been destroyed from within by its acceptance of religious diversity.

You forgot to include, at the end, the age old warning beloved of sandwich board men:

"Repent Sinners. The END is Nigh"

Please don't forget to wake me up for the END. I'd hate to miss it.

So what, England will be another Muslim Caliphate in fifty years or so. Their welfare system will be their destruction. The England once worth respecting is gone. Some parts hold on but they are slowly dying and fading away. They are just an island nation full of Europeans and other migrants. Granted one day the U.S. will be just another nation full of Hispanics and African Americans, and will resemble its cousins in the other parts of the world.

What this article implies is that Christians are leaving their own faith. What does that have to do with Islam, atheism, paganism, or any other belief system? Perhaps one should ask why young people today are not finding Christianity relevant?

Christianity is at a later stage of its life cycle (measured not by time, per se, but by how it has evolved) and is developing exactly as one would predict.

Islam is at a much earlier stage of its life cycle, but it, too, will eventually become as relevant as Christianity is.

Which is to say, that religion will still be important to some people in their private lives, but that the politicization of religion will largely be over.

Now that, is something you can wake me up for........[:D]

You might want to re-read some American history. People of Hispanic and African-American heritage have been here from the beginning of what we today call the United States of America. There was no "United States" that was all white or all Christian. When Europeans first arrived there were Native Americans. The slave trade started while we were still a colony. Part of the territory of modern United States was originally New Spain, and then later controlled by Mexico. In other words, when those territories came into the United States, whether by war or treaty, they contained what would be termed Hispanic peoples.

There is this myth that the United States of America started as an all white Christian nation. It's simply not true.

Lucylastic -> RE: UKistan. (5/17/2013 1:55:48 PM)

why ignore paganism...or indeed atheism?
Dumb to do that
If you think more people will turn to christianity again out of fear of "sharia law" you are indeed more paranoid than I suspected.

YN -> RE: UKistan. (5/17/2013 2:39:01 PM)

Not only were the Spanish, Africans and the Indians in the Americas long before the Anglos, so were Muslims.

The first slave revolt in the Americas was by Black Muslims in 1522, about a century before the first English colonials landed at Plymouth Rock.

Filipinos were also here long before the Anglos. the Spaniards impressed crews of Filipino sailors to man the treasure fleet from Manila to Mexico, and they also brought other Asians to Acapulco, these great treasure ships began their voyages in the 1500's.

As for the English the decline of their state religion and the ascent of Islam as a faith in the UKis the least of their problems, the takeover of much of the English financial and industrial infrastructure is or should a far more pressing concern to any English who are not Tory for after all "Muslim values are Tory values" or at least Tory leaders claim.

As a symbol of their ascendance over the English the brigands and oil puppets the English ruling class installed in the Gulf Protectorates have built a great Barad-Dur overlooking the capital city they are buying from under their former masters -

[image]http://www.thetimes.co.uk/tto/multimedia/archive/00280/104632886_Shard_280455b.jpg[/image]

The Tory spokesman Rupert Murdoch has even started the move of his headquarters to the base of this tower so as to be more readily available to his new ruling class -

News International, part of the News Corp media empire that publishes British newspapers The Sun and The Times, is negotiating a lease for a 430,000 square foot building called The Place, which, along with its taller and more famous neighbour, was funded by the state of Qatar.

Given the choice twixt a foreign religion gaining prominence, and foreign nation's buying a nation's banks, industry, and government and rendering the inhabitants second class citizens in their own homeland as is the case of the UK, the religious issue is trivial.

As imperialists themselves, the English should admire this expertly done and largely bloodless conquest of their nation and how their future ruling class had the "English" ruling class and their Tory lackeys auctioning the UK off and selling the rope used to hang themselves with at minimum bid, all while the dwindling English working class looks helplessly on.
