A friend of mine was dating some guy in the army. Him and his roommate threw parties every weekend and she invited me along. I went thinking I would get a few drinks and ended up attracting my now husbands attention. He told my friend to make sure I came back the next weekend for the next party. I did and eventually did all the things that lead to getting married.

I met the Mister here on CM just over 4 years ago. He contacted me, we talked for a couple of months, then met in person 4 years ago this weekend. Prior to that: I met my ex husband when I moved into the apartment upstairs from him - 17 years I met the ex owner in a Yahoo Bondage-A-Go-Go chat room - 3 years, I think, maybe 4 I went out with a couple of men that I met here after that - both lasted about 3 months, neither were serious (one was just a FWB thing)

I met quite a bit of my more recent partners on OKCupid (and by recent, I mean like in the last two years) and Fetlife. I met the Mister through a mutual friend though.

I met my husband on ICQ, back when you could press a button for a random chat partner. Very much not looking for a relationship at the time, but looked him up again a couple of years later and we've been married nearly seven years.

OMG I remember the old yahoo Bondage-A-Go-Go room. That was in operation at the same time as the Rape Room. Those were the days of free wheeling BDSM chat rooms.

I met my late slave-wife through a paper newsletter, yes, it was that long ago. I was aiming to get out of a failing marriage, and joined a BDSM contact group thinking something would come out of it eventually; spotted an ad a couple of months later, exchanged letters for a few months (4 days minimum from post to reply, you tell the kids now, they won't believe you...) then met her, tied her down and beat and screwed the living daylights out of her for about 10 hours straight, and married her a month later. When she died (nothing I did, honest, Officer,) I knew I shouldn't go looking for someone else right away. But I hung out and posted on a BDSM forum (not CM, can't even remember now what it was,) and one day someone I never heard of PMed me "Why don't you check out T's advert, she looks like she'd suit you?" So I looked, and liked what I saw, and wrote to her, and a few months later I collared her. A while later she admitted that she'd sent the original PM from a throwaway account because she liked my style, and I duly punished her for being too smart. That relationship was too good to be true, but it was great while it lasted. While it was burning out I got into an online friendship with a Domme who I could talk to about all kinds of things, from M/s to sci-fi to politics to old rock music; but after a while she started reacting oddly to innocent things I said. Finally she explained that what was bothering her was an overwhelming urge to submit to me, which was NOT HER! I guess I should mention I met lamb, my sub, in an IRC chatroom that I ran back when I was DJing online. He came in and right away asked if he could 'serve' me. I said yes, tell us all a story. And he did !! He told a hilarious story about flying out to CA to meet a mistress for the first time, and her telling him to buy a pair of red sequined panties for the trip. Then she had him wear them INSIDE OUT on the long plane trip out (he's in Chgo). This was his first ever real time meet, and he had us all laughing about the plane trip. What struck me about him was that he's didn't react like the usual online male 'sub,' most of whom would walk after realizing I wasn't interested in an instant sex or dom session. Since your asking for recent only I met my first lady at a munch<not that I plan on attending any again, never say never rignt>, one on alt, it was long distance so bascially a play partnter every now and then...my last was a lady who was a love from 20 years ago, she ran across my daughter on face book and we finally talked. It was probably the deepedst relationship I have ever experienced... Met mine at Niagara Falls, was there with a children's school group. Somehow we collected an extra child going thru the cavern under the falls, she showed up 15 min later in total panic. (not exactly a Romantic moment) :)

I was chasing a brontosaurus when I first saw her standing in the mouth of a cave. Her hair sparkled in the sun so I grabbed her by that shiny hair and dragged her back to my cave.
