NeedToUseYou -> RE: Is the sewing circle taking over the scene ? (6/26/2006 2:15:46 PM)

Let's see if I can translate what he is saying.... I like challenges... though I fear I might fail this one. LOL His Definition of feminine and masculine has nothing to do with being male or female. (That got rid of about a third of the confusion). They are generic qualities any person could display. So bearing that in mind. Feminine(under his definition which the thread should use since he started it), is a state in which a human has a tendency to depend on your peers for validation, discuss things without any resolve to do them, discuss what others should do, and think a solution exists for every problem. Masculine rather than type it out appears to be the exact opposite of the Feminine. He is saying a sewing circle(which traditionally would be composed of women, thus more apt to show feminine qualities, probably why everyone is attaching feminine to female) mentality(aka hyper feminine), is taking over the "scene" So, in English he is saying indirectly, though posed as a question, that the "scene" is all about his definition of feminine. So, the whole post could be boiled down to... OP thinks the scene has been taken over by people that are overly concerned with peer validation, people that talk but don't do, people that think every problem has a solution, and people that like to tell other people what to do. Basicly he's saying the scene has become feminine(using his definition) and I'm guessing he doesn't like it. So, It appears he disguises a bitch fest in a psuedo intellectual format in order to complain, but still appear intellectual. It would have been much easier and shorter to write. Is the scene full of a bunch of pussies? Really that is exactly what you are asking. I'm not feminine, I can't talk about the "scene" as I assume every "scene" is different depending upon where the "scene" is located and who is interacting in the "scene" at any given time. But a overall valid question I guess.
