I mean hell, it was insulting when they chose Sarah Palin because most women knew that she had only been chosen because she had a uterus. They expected her to shut up, look pretty and show off how she popped out kids. (and boy did that backfire)

*chuckles* I'm pretty sure you know that I'm no fan of the Republicans. In particular I dislike their stance on women and gays. All of those dislikes, however, are eclipsed by the evil that both parties are doing. Honestly, fucking around with the health of half the population.... as severe and ghastly as that is... does not even remotely compare to impoverishing and enslaving the entire population. At that point we're mostly talking about who gets screwed first.

I'm no fan of either party and when it comes to politics, I'm somewhere in the middle of both.

At the last election, I stated that I wished there was a box that said, "Send them all home and let's start over". They're so busy trying to bully each other and win the argument that the American public ends up losing.

It doesn't really matter who you vote for, the winning party are only in it to line their own nests and make a fortune out of sinking the country.
Have you ever seen a skint politician or president/prime minister??
No. And you aren't likely to either.
Win or lose, they rake in the money.
At least a lawyer has years of training before they are allowed to fleece you!

I can't for the life of me think where there were some recent elections (Pakistan? India?) where the ballot paper had over 600 delegates to choose from and they voted for who got to sit in the parliament rather than one party winning or losing outright.
At least that way the actual candidates that are elected are the ones making the decisions for the country/people.
Surely we could take something from that example instead of the two-party crap that we have??
Or even a box that says "none of the above" so if that vote was the winner, they'd have to hold another election??
