ORIGINAL: litleone8620We all know that most people misunderstood the OP, that much is obvious from the first few pages. But you will also notice that the people who flamed the OP haven't come back to defend their posts. Coincidence?

No, litleone, not coincidence.  Some of us have lives outside of our house... and jobs... and obligations.  Many of those obligations don't allow us to sit at out computer 24/7 to comment on those who aren't online all the time.  I was righteously indignant for all the women who sixstrokes maligned, and some people could not see the venom in his cute little question.  Yes, it appeared benign, but his first reaction was not to say - "Hey! You misunderstood me!  I didn't mean it that way at all!"  - as most people would have done if they were innocent.  He has yet to say that his intentions were honorable, and that is all I need to know that he meant it otherwise.

litleone8620 -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 7:03:26 PM)

I am overweight, yet i found nothing offensive about his 'innocent little question'.  If you want to be 'riteously indignant' for me, go ahead.

And as far as your comment on being here 24/7, i have a job that allows me to be online most of the time to be here to defend my position.

I've said this in other posts: the question was not meant to offend. The fact that YOU took it as offensive is YOUR problem, not the OP's.

If he had defended his position, then it would most likely look as if he had something to defend, and therefore look guiltier than people like you are making him out to be.

I for one was glad he posted this question.

For the very same reason that you jism in only sixstrokes.

If you were actually curious about the apparent disparity, you would have phrased your question without the "more than the fair share" phrase - this implies that the overweight women are less than  other women.  It is like asking the question "Did you stop beating your wife?" at a party. Neither a yes nor a no can be a good answer, but you can shrug your shoulders and say, "I didn't say anything wrong! I just asked a question!"  You intended to be hurtful with your post. Without flaming you, I do hope you get what you deserve (see my previous post).

As to your reference of my missing comma:
First - "I missed a comma out"?  I won't even comment on that.
Second - my comma is a typographical error, while your apostrophe is grammatical.  Putting an apostrophe at the end of "its" shows you have no idea how an apostrophe is used for possession.  And no, I don't run through every posting and point out mistakes for fun (there is no fun in that - there are too effing many).  The education in America is not at its (notice, no apostophe) zenith, and finding people who care about how they write is almost impossible.  However, for those who intentionally hurt others, I throw your obvious mistakes in grammar into the post at no charge.

Finally, to point out your intent in postings, you magnanimously pointed out you wouldn't stoop to the 'infantile' level - and then you went there.  And my insulting conjecture was not on my behalf.  Please, pull out a dictionary and find out what 'on my behalf' really means.  And yes, my conjecture was from little information - but you didn't try to dispute my points - you only tried to point out that I made a pretty good guess from very little information.  I bet I was a lot closer than you like to admit, sixstrokes.  The only way you would possibly weasel your way around this one and show that your intentions were above board would be to post your picture with a BBW sub kissing your feet.

Heh.  I won't hold my breath for that to happen.

uhm . . . I was just wondering if you could possibly use the word tamarity in your next reply.  It is one of my favorite words.  Included in this list are zenith; bodacious; audacity; frugal; farfel; pragmatism (the word, not the practice); plethora; serendipity; whimsy; phenomenon; and pentimento (which is rarely usable in conversation).  Since you have already used one, I thought it might be effortless to throw another one out.

Thank You,

s.

I am indignant on Shari Lewis' and Lambchop's behalf. How dare you?

Seriously, no one wants this thing to end.

The reality is that most men prefer women who are not very overweight in terms of pure physical attraction, this has nothing to do with marketing or clothing sizes.

I would like to know where you get "most men" from. Is this the general public? Men you know? Men in your town? My reality, most of the men I know prefer women who are not size 14 and under, but size 18 and up. I base that on my own experience, not a study or poll. I get alot of letters from men on CM (including Doms) who have complimented me on my photos <shrugs>, they don't know me, they are going purely on the photos that I have posted here, so basically they are basing their opinions on pure physical attraction, which have nothing to do with personality or intelligence.

I wasn't going to back on this thread, and in reality am not commenting on the OPs comment at all.  I just had to remark how well written your reply was MOG.

KC,
Thank you so much, that is very sweet of you :)

doll -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 7:46:45 PM)

Some people smoke because they enjoy it and don't feel the need to quit because others find it offensive.  I am a smoker and a BBW...big deal...I work outside my home, I pay my bills and I enjoy smoking.  It is a personal preference...if you don't like that a person smokes or is overweight....find someone who is neither of these things.

Again I will state that I was not so much offended by the OP's comment...but I do agree that it could have been worded differently if he didn't want people to be offended by it.

And some people who are overweight eat normal portions or very little and are still big.  I walk, swim, go out dancing and eat normal portions of good foods...i.e. broccoli, salads...etc.., but I am still a BBW.  Fact of my life and I have accepted it.

I don't think that this thread will ever die because people keep coming on and making new comments or commenting on other people's comments...but to come on here and constantly say "I wish this thread would die" seems kind of redundant considering you are STILL posting on this thread as well.

Ok....I am done ranting or whatever anyone wants to call it.  *goes back to my corner*

Daddysredhead -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 7:47:07 PM)

Taken from my journal entry of June 25, 2006, after attending my first dungeon play party (and before I read any part of this thread or the OP's question, which I do not take offense to, even as a BBW myself):

i realized some wonderful things today.  One of them is that regardless of size or shape... self confidence, a collar, and cuffs are the sexiest things that a naked person can wear.  Another is that, in the real world, people may have personal differences, but those issues are checked at the dungeon door lest other people hear someone bash another member.

I dont see any reason for this post to die, as you put it. There are some really good points being made. If you don't want to read anymore comments, you do not have to read them.

litleone8620 -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 8:07:49 PM)

Yes, i have been the one being redunant, insisting this thread die, then coming back and posting more. I do this because more people are making more good points.

I also keep coming back because i feel like i have to defend myself because of my POV.

And i never said that i didn't want to read people's responses, you assumed that MOG. Though it is an understandable assumption.

I've already thought about it, and after i wrote that post you're responding on, MOG, i changed my mind since then.

NeedToUseYou -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 8:34:13 PM)

Why does bdsm appear to attract far more than its' fair share of fakes?

Would any of those offend you? I can't say any of them would me. If anything all it says about the person getting offended is that they feel "insert condition or state" is bad on one level or another and they are involved themselves in dealing with the issue, or involved with someone who is hurt by the issue.  You can't get over what you can't discuss.

Flames don't bother, I don't have anything against big women, my stepmother was big and struggled with it and still does. I'm overweight by doctors standards. But she had issues and was very sensitive about it even in situations no offense was intended. Everyone has there demons, and personal struggles, some just suck more because others can see them more easily.

Arpig -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 8:34:28 PM)

Well sixie, assuming that there is in fact more than a "fair share" of overweight women (and men) attracted to BDSM, I would say it is because as a rule those in this lifestyle are not superficial "plastic" types who obsess about their weight...they are the type to seize life and enjoy it...all of life, the kinky sex, the mouth-watering feasts, and do so without worrying about a few extra pounds, to me those few extra pounds announce a love of the good things in life.

litleone8620 -> RE: Overweight bdsm women (6/28/2006 8:38:41 PM)

Thank you, Arpig, for your conscise answer to an innocent question.

The more the cushion, the better the pushin.

sixstrokes, are you tired of seeing Big Beautiful Women in the BDSM Lifestyle? Do you think they all could loose some weight? Well, you're the dom. Crack out your whip and run them on the tread mill. Or you can get a wagon for them to pull as your pony girls around the track.

The BDSM lifestyle/culture also has plenty of men that are 350 plus none of your business pounds as well as those who are so skinny, you could mistake them as a skeleton.

Not everyone is here to meet your discription of "Perfection"

Just like at work, church, school, and bars, you will see petite, small, med, large, and XXX large in the life style as well. So get use to it or take over the world so you can crack down on obesity with an Iron Fist.
