Well, George starting out at his car and ending up just behind the kids home tells normal folks that he closed the distance between them.......ie pursued him.

Here`s a good instructional video about CWC.

They don`t have a political agenda or a dog in the fight regarding Zimmerman`s killing..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iz8AL9X0Oq4

What they say in the 1st minute should be made into a daily prayer. Advice that George should have taken.

At what point did Zimmerman express any intent to apprehend Martin, this is the difference between following and pursuing.
Remember both of them said that he had lost Martin.

Ummmm ......Walking/running towards him, from his car to Martin`s back yard......

It`s physics really.......can`t expand much more than that......

The kid was closer to his back door than George was to his car......by quite a few feet.

Though the zim-fan bubble has no issue ignoring these things, it`s a bit much to expect the moms are going to ignore them.

I decided to google "Trayvon Martin" and burglaries.

This is what I got.

so the kid wasn't an angel. Unless zimmy somehow knew that ahead of time it has no bearing on the case. I didn't see anything in that link that indicated the kid deserved to die.

Keeping track of where he was, keeping an eye on him, same physics without intent to apprehend. There was never such intent stated or implied.

Much of the lynch Zimmerman movement (which I am NOT accusing you of being a part) is based on Martin being an innocent kid who would never do anything worse than buying tea and candy. Now it seems that he could have been using the trip to check out places to rob. Not a capital offense but not innocent either.

Of course he deserved to die: he was a savage. Q.E.D.

Of course Zimmerman did not know anything about Martin's history.

But Zimmerman appears to have been a spiritual person and determined to stop the burglaries. I now surmise that the Divine, in response to this spiritual command, provided him with the opportunity that enabled him to do so.

Tea and candy- actually, Skittles, specifically- and codeine cough syrup are the three ingredients of a drug made popular by Lil Wayne.

More scary black guy stuff....whatever

Rule -> RE: Zimmerman Trial - LIVE (6/28/2013 7:41:29 PM)

That is interesting.

I read in some blog that Martin actually had bought not iced tea, but a can of Arizona Watermelon Juice Drink.

In any case the blog also mentioned that Martin had been looking for codeine.

I was unaware of this.
Not that it is relevant.

Are folks actually watching the whole trial?

It was on in the doctor's waiting room this morning, but didn't grab me. It was handy, though, since other patients--eyes glued to the TV--didn't notice my hoarding all the best magazines.

Also of no importance.

Trayvon Martin was no saint.
George Zimmerman is no devil.

No one knows the motivation for either party and never will... all we can do is guess... the testimony and evidence will determine guilt or innocence... the motivation is up to us to guess at to try an explain to ourselves how this could happen.

Agree. We can never know either party. So, there is no need to guess at motivation. Motivation is not an element of the crime. All we need to remember is that sometimes people commit impulsive and foolish acts which arise out of their character. Do we really need to explain every event to ourselves? I can't imagine why. The events reported to us give us some insights into the characters of the persons involved. But what of it? The jury will decide if Zimmerman was criminally responsible.

It is arguable that if America had a history free of racism Martin might not have felt the need to confront Z with any belligerence. The incident might not have happened.

If Florida did not have a gun carry law Z might not have felt the courage to confront someone younger and bigger than himself, and if there had not been a series of burglaries he might not have had the impetus to get out of his car. The incident might not have happened.

It seems to me the event was just happenstance that resulted when two series of elements collided. These two guys were just being who they were without much if any thought to their actions. The thing explains itself.

It is laughable to me when I hear commentators and TV talking heads painting Z as a racist profiler and stalker. I think him too earnest and not very wise, but not a murderer and not guilty of manslaughter. Just my [sm=2cents.gif]

If George had stayed in/at his car, the boy would have made it home.

There would have been no incident.

There is no denying that.

The undisputed testimony is that he did make it home.

If his response to what are you doing here had been I just moved in with my dad instead of attacking Zimmerman he would still be alive. No denying that.

Yup.

About 20-30 feet from his own back door.......where the killer followed him......many hundreds feet from his own car....

Do the math.

Just saw this.......West`s next gaff to apologize for.......

The kid was walking home from the store, minding his own business......just like millions of kids do every day....

The killer was NOT minding his own business and fucked up because of that, big time.

He never called 911.

Oh, that makes all the difference then. "If the phone number doesn't fit, then you must acquit!" A travesty of justice, because GZ called the non-emergency police number, not 911 in this instance. BTW, that number connects one to ... the 911 dispatcher.

In any case, you say that Zimmerman "never called 911." But this record says otherwise:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/03/22/george-zimmerman-s-history-of-911-calls-a-complete-log.html

I count seventeen 911 calls out of the 46 total.

But if you think he sounds as idiotic as a woman saying she cannot read cursive..... well, then, that's what you think.

I don't know if he's is more or less idiotic than she is, but looking at the phone log and listening to the recording of his call made to the 911 dispatcher on the night in question tells me that Zimmerman is unquestionably more of a nut case than she is.
