BamaD -> RE: Zimmerman III - Should the jury have a manslaughter option (7/10/2013 7:00:31 PM)

I have the right to my facts from living in such areas. Just because you havent experienced the same experiences I have, doesnt make me wrong.

The convers is also true.

Why does anyone have to be polite? I can say.. "fuck off asshole".. all day long. I dont have to answer anyone's questions, even from the police. What makes anyone think Z deserved any more?

Because a polite response helps avoid a violent outcome.

I answer politely because I'm a polite person.
Has zip to do with the other party, it's all an inside job

Her question was what practical reason is there for being polite. You are anyway so you don't need a practical reason.

You derailed here, assuming you knew what I meant.. which you are way off. Never assume you know my thought processes or what I mean unless I tell you.

Something I have seen the complete opposite of.

I didnt claim always being polite never gets one's ass kicked. Nor did I claim always being rude never gets one's ass kicked.

If a polite response will get your ass kicked a smart ass one sure will. Inflaming the situation will not calm it down.

are you under the misconception that all people respect someone who is polite... especially in the world of 17 year olds? someone who is being followed should turn, smile and shake hands. ?

So I never claimed you did thank you.

tazzygirl -> RE: Zimmerman III - Should the jury have a manslaughter option (7/10/2013 7:22:37 PM)

How do you like assumptions being made about you?

Dont thank me.... you made lots of assumptions..

Her question was what practical reason is there for being polite. You are anyway so you don't need a practical reason.

Bullshit. I never said a damn thing about practical. I want to know why the hell Z doesnt have to be polite, why he can believe a 17 year old walking between houses at night (which is perfectly legal to do) is up to no good, yet T has to bend over backwards to be polite.

You fella's may think Z is some freakin hero... he is an idiot. Had it been a gang banger Z would be dead instead. And yet not a damn one of you ever thought about that, did ya?

So we got two idiots meeting in a public spot where it is legal for both of them to be. One 17, one 29... both hot heads... both male (which goes along with the hot head issue).. and yet its the 17 year old that has to be polite....

rofl

I really gotta wonder about people sometimes

You clearly failed to note that this was in response to your statement that having different experiences doesn't make you wrong.
Had you paid attention you would have realized that I was saying that having different experiences doesn't make me wrong either.

tazzygirl -> RE: Zimmerman III - Should the jury have a manslaughter option (7/10/2013 7:26:38 PM)

I never said you were wrong... I have had your experiences.. [8|] ... remember? I look white.

This entire rant is railing against things that were not said, merely your mistaken evaluation of what was said.

And you are assuming that all white people have the same experiences.

lol.. I am? where? Where did I make that assumption?

As far as that "rant".. did you not say the following?

Her question was what practical reason is there for being polite. You are anyway so you don't need a practical reason.

Or did I make up you telling someone else what I meant?

Dont speak for me, dont assume you know what I mean, dont put words in my mouth... and we will get along great.

Ah, in point of fact cutting over someone's lawn is not perfectly legal. Its called trespass. And people are arrested for criminal trespass all the time. And in a neighborhood where black youths have been burglarizing homes - you may think its fine. I think Travon paid the penalty for stupidity and a bad attitude.

It is a shame he chose violence over talking.

How many experiences have you had while being a different race? Its amazing how many talked about my "half breed boyfriends", all consoling like... and then the change when they realized those "boy friends" were my brothers.

People make a lot of assumptions... based solely upon looks. How many times have you encountered that? I have been mistaken for white... I have experienced that people are polite when the races are the same, or assumed to be the same.

And if you want to extrapolate that into me saying "you are assuming that all white people have the same experiences.".. that says far more about you than you realize.
