Sure, cuz you always offer six foot tall teenagers who you have suspicions of, don't know,and who aren't looking for a ride or standing next to a wrecked car, at night.
I dunno about you but last time I picked up a stranger in those circumstances was the 80's.
In fact,I through the question out about five pages ago...at you (noticed it was never answered BTW) and so far I ain't seeing a whole rush of folks saying, "Oh yeah,do that all the time...."
And again, M wasn't his neighbor.M was a temporary visitor. Z had zero reason to know him.

Yeah, well as a Jew, we're motivated by Chesed, and that's sort of hebrew for "Don't be a dick". On a meta-level, it integrates what others might call Karma right into the core beliefs.

Isn't it abandoning the "rule of law" to 'game' the Jury Instructions to disallow the charge Zimmerman was actually guilty of, culpable negligence leading to manslaughter?

The Jury Instructions specified manslaughter by act, which they couldn't meet. I call this the "Amadou Diallo Move". Everything looks honest, but there's no way the jury can return a guilty verdict. Sure you end up with Jurors complaining about it occasionally, but no one really listens.

Face it, no-one gives a shit about another dead N*gger, so the State of Florida -- when dragged into court -- put on a good show, and got the result everyone expected.

Thing is, in New York, you got to be a cop to get this kind of softball prosecution. Florida. America's Wang.

Nearest I can think is me springing the 4 bucks for a bus day-pass for a kid who was sharing the a bus-shelter with me one evening after work downtown. Not a lot of hitchhiking IN THE CITY OF ALBANY actually, and being in the city, there's nothing special about people walking around. But occasionally you get to help someone out.

Maybe, maybe not. I just haven't ever bought into the common American idea that something is OK just because someone else did it. I have an internal moral compass that informs my choices independent of what "they" did.

The ship has sailed on Zimmerman and any other mental stance is as vigilantism. Do I want to change these laws? Oh hell yeah. Gunning someone down because you think they might be a threat is not OK. Do I also want to change the uneven application of all laws? Again, oh hell yeah. But Zimmerman is an innocent man.

Insofar as people not caring about black people, that's an american trait not a southern one.

the first time you blew your gaskets on this topic I listened to the available evidence and said never gonna fly, they wont even take it to court.

well I was right about never gonna fly but failed to factor in the hollywood effect and they took a loser to court anyway.

Again, I didn't think "george zimmerman" had the juice of NYPD officers and end up getting the jury Diallo-ed for him, but hey, Florida, what should I have expected.

You can't tell me that culpable negligence isn't a slam dunk. That's why it was left off the jury instructions.

In my book, "equal protection of the law" and "due process" doesn't mean that the Prosecution and Defense can work together to construct jury instructions specifically limited to return only not-guilty verdicts.

Again, in this case the jury instructions here provided for Murder 2, and Manslaughter BY ACT, specifically omitting the slam-dunk Manslaughter by negligence included lesser offense.

That's not an accident. And if I'm surprised, it's that a no-body could get the State to do that for him.

Its not the "catch all" snare that you seem to think it is for those who know how to handle themselves in court.

So have you backed all that up by at least filing a complaint with the BAR? What was their response?

otherwise if you want to show the world due process violation you need go no further than traffic tickets and typical muniicipal by-laws and ordinances if you want "slam dunk" due process and rule of law violations, all the cities, esp class 1 cities are guilty as sin. I do not see where there has been a due process violation in favor of zimmy? The state was the plaintiff and already had the advantage.

Nope. Justice means that someone is tried by a jury of his peers. he got that. Sorry, but Justice is not a euphemism for "fargle gets to determine who's guilty".

And your argument that Zimmerman contributed by leaving his vehicle pisses me off. That's even worse than saying a woman is asking to get raped by wearing a short skirt, that Zimmerman was asking to get in a fight by leaving his vehicle.

JUSTICE FOR ANTONIO

You probably won't recognize me because the BLACK President of the United States of America and the RACIST mainstream-media don't care about WHITE victims of BLACK murderers. My name WAS Antonio West and I WAS a 13-month old WHITE baby who, on March 21 2013, was shot in my face at point blank range by two BLACK teenaged thugs who were attempting to rob my WHITE mother, who they also shot. A Grand Jury of my WHITE mommy's peers from Brunswick GA determined the BLACK teenaged thugs who murdered me in front of my mommy will not face the death penalty...too bad I was given a death sentence for being innocent and defenseless.

My WHITE family made the mistake of living in a 73% non-white neighborhood, but MY murder WAS NOT ruled a RACIST HATE CRIME. Nor did our BLACK President take so much as a single moment to even acknowledge my murder, much less declare it a RACIST HATE CRIME by BLACK teenaged thugs.

I am one of the youngest murder victims in our great Nation's history, but the media doesn't care to cover the story of my tragic demise because our BLACK President has no children who could possibly look like me - so HE DOESN'T CARE and the MEDIA DOESN'T CARE because a WHITE baby murdered by BLACK teenagers runs counter to their race-baiting.

There is not a white equivalent of Al Sharpton because if there was he would be declared racist, so there is no one rushing to Brunswick GA to demand justice for me. There is no White Panther party to put a bounty on the lives of those who murdered me. I have no voice, I have no representation and unlike those who shot me in the face while I sat innocently in my stroller - I no longer have my life.

So while you are seeking justice for Trayvon, please remember to seek justice for me too. Tell your friends about me, tell you families, get tee shirts with my face on them and make the world pay attention, just like you did for Trayvon.
