Agreed, I can only read posts. Not just this topic but across the board. One tends to get a feel for certain themes in users posts. I know I do and judge further posts accordingly.

2. I have got about a hundred nicks on Hide and I would guess that most of them are subs. So I accept that BamaD has good reason to put you on Hide.

If I am "chauvinist". I am "pro-me". I want what's best for me. If that means (to me) that I don't want you smoking in a restaurant where I'm eating, is that a form of hate?

Nope. I just think that my wants and needs out-weigh yours. Is this a detriment to you? I guess so but it doesn't come from hate.

Whether or not someone is a "chauvinist" (or a "nationalist" or a "jingoist") or a patriot largely depends upon perspective.

If I say "I support tighter controls against illegal immigration", it's not because I hate illegal aliens. It's because I see what illegal immigration is doing to my country and I think it's detrimental to my country. No hate; just enlightened self-interest.
