It is apples and oranges, but in no way excuses the harm that Sharpton and (arguably more so) Jackson have done.

They didn't loose the dogs, and orchestrate the assassinations of MLK, Malcolm X, Medgar Evers, etc. They stepped into the power vacuum and turned greedy and corrupt.

They were vacation resorts compared to Indian Reservations.
They were temporary.
They were inspired in part by the (misguided) thought to protect Japanese-Americans from reprisals and from the (overestimated) fear of sleeper agents.

I grew up with the south too.... deep backwoods south... what was said in private was never uttered in public among different races... after the 70's.

She was black, and in the south longer that me,  so I thought she should know.

If the quote function isn't to your liking, there are quotation marks, bolding, italics, and colors--to name just a few options.

I am not a gun person so when another poster said it was hard to get a gun out of that holster, I asked how that was possible given the story Zimmy gave about how Martin had him pinned and how he got the gun.. I then went on to say what I heard the Prosecutor & Corey said today about how they thought Zimmy had his gun out earlier than when he claimed.. no where did i say he was chasing Martin waving his gun around.. and I also do not believe that Martin ran up to Zimmy, I believe it was Zimmy running around looking for Martin and finding him.. Not everyone is gonna fight or react to being followed how you think they should (as some people would not run home and others seem to think thats exactly what you should do, despite experts saying not to).. If there was a fight over the gun it could have been Martin trying to keep Zimmy's hand from reaching the gun or pointing the gun at him.. Martin was just an inexperienced kid who only a few weeks had turned 17 and was 40 pounds lighter than Zimmy.. I doubt he is gonna fight like you anymore than I would fight like you...

the other person being armed is actually a good reason to not leave your vehicle.. he also kept referring to Martin, I believe to both the operator and to the police during the interview as "the suspect"... that to me means he considered Martin was much more than just "suspicious".. he basically had already judged Martin a "criminal"..

pa.. i dont care that he got off on the charges... his ass will be sued and im gonna sit back and laugh as all this costs him more and more money... his rep is shot to hell and back... 2 years later and Casey is still in hiding... Z's life will be no better.. and I would imagine a lot worse.

I listened to a local show this morning. The sentiment expressed was this... "I am glad he didnt go to jail. Now he will live with the fear many black's live with everyday".

Maybe in a few years we will see a book from Z about being a hunted man.

A  the prosecutor told at least one bald faced lie during summation
B  That idiot Corey claimed that there was a level of injury needed to claim self defense, a claim disputed by the law the judge and every self defense expert that either side put on the stand.

C  You are in a fight

someone is trying to keep your gun from being pulled it can feel like they are going for your gun

D   this is just a what if situation for you to have an excuse for still claiming Zimmerman is guilty.

The cops told him to get a gun idiot. If the cops said get a gun don't you think they would know what it takes?
A barking dog will be run off by a putter a vicious pit bull, in your dreams.
The guy who broke into my neighbors house and found his pit bull would most assuredly argue with you.

I was not entirely clear on that first one.
Of course they do not do the same kind of damage in the same way.
Jackson in particular being the slickest of the bunch.
The point I was trying to make was that we have traded the Wallace Conner race hustlers for the Jackson Sharpton ones.
consider the latter more dangerous because they have not yet been discredited.

Do you have any validation for the moronic opinion that they were being protected?
