Geez that sound like the newspaper here over our fracking mayor- he is bigger then life and the powers that be let you know it too!

OsideGirl -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/15/2013 7:01:49 PM)

The San Diego Mayor has admitted to sexually harassing women, but is refusing to resign because he says he's entitled to due process even though he's admitted to it.

There is a mayor in Canada that admitted on radio he kills cats- when he sees them cross the road his speeds up his truck to hit them.

You're not part of the nation because you're not British. Peon is from the UK.

"I know what you're thinking. "Did he chacha six times or only five?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a ballroom, and you are a Princess, the most powerful Princess in the world, and could have my head clean off, you've got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, Princess?"

Is this going to mean a return to the Thatcher period?

Ya'know...cause "she went into Labor"...

DollMegan -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/15/2013 10:04:38 PM)

She isn't my princess so why do I care? Guess what? Thousands of women are in labor right now. She is no better than any of them.

I am more interested in that scar on her head which happens to be the exact same type of scar that Obama has on his head - to name just one other famous person with that type of scar.

However my news feed is littered with stories about the big event

perhaps you need to get the non-British version news feed.. [;)]

You Americans just dont get it.. this couple are not celebs.. this couple is.. ROYALTY!!! [sm=cute.gif]

(I am from Western Canada.. we love our Royals..)

Yeah, but celebrities are celebrated because they have some kind of talent that makes them popular and entertaining. Rock stars, movie stars, etc. - Britain has produced some of the finest.

But what does royalty do? I suppose there might be some entertainment value in all the parades and pageantry, but other than that, what's the point?

Even as far as celebrities go, I never could quite get the fascination. In my mind, someone like Charo is a more important celebrity than anyone in the royal family. (Does anyone in the royal family say "cuchi-cuchi"? 'Nuff said. [:D])

There are various reasons, depends on who you are, I guess and your background.. there are a lot of people in various parts of Western Canada that come from British stock.. My first boyfriend was a combo British & Scottish.. every weekend we would visit his grandparents and have tea (Earl grey prefered) and cookies (shortbread prefered).. it sorta became a tradition.. thats what the Royals are,.. tradition.. its a connection to our (meaning Canada since i am from there) past.. even tho I am not British or anywhere near, but I dont feel I have to be cuz its part of my country's history and heritage.. we didnt boot them out like you guys did.. And our govt asked us if we wanted to be free of the Queen as our figurehead and the majority of us said no, we want to keep her & our Royals.. (ok, ok, so Quebecers mostly disagreed with the rest of Canada but that's what Quebec does.. [8|]).. The Royals come in real handy for ribbon cutting, christening boats and opening ceremonies for stuff like the Olympics, they help various charities too, of course... and they are smashing to put on our (now plastic) money.. Seriously, what more could you ask of the Royal Family? they give sooooo much of themselves!.. [:)]

TieMeInKnottss -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/15/2013 11:36:26 PM)

Got to ask..did anybody else see the thread title and think "Kate? Which (regular poster) one is she? I thought somebody on here had gone into labor! for some crazy reason..my 2nd thought was..."what is the news? Didn't she have 8 kids already "John&Kate Plus Eight" the crazy reality show from a few years back...

pahunkboy -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/16/2013 4:57:32 AM)

what scar ???

No updates on this labor - right now.

PeonForHer -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/16/2013 5:09:12 AM)

She's not been having an easy pregnancy, apparently. She was hospitalised with 'hyperemesis gravidarum' - a kind of extreme morning sickness that can be quite dangerous.

ARIES83 -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/16/2013 5:28:45 AM)

Here is a clue... Dianna is dancing with Clint [;)]

OttersSwim -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/16/2013 7:04:31 AM)

Tom is clearly dancing with Nancy Reagan, so that will help to put more of a timeline on the photo...

pahunkboy -> RE: Kate- went into labor- (7/16/2013 7:05:34 AM)

I think Nancy Reagan is in that pic. So being that Lady Di was in it- ect- 80s.
