I think some people naturally are nick namers, and some aren't. Himself, my sub, and I have numerous nick names for each other and our pets. It's how we roll. Perhaps you aren't a namer, Jailer. I think another possibility is that the name itself has such personal significance and important to you both that it's become a 'thing' that your mind has decided to block. I can see this happening to me. If it did happen to me, I would do two things, were I in your situation. First, I would take away the collaring and the naming. If you don't have a name by then so be it. A name has to be RIGHT. So don't try to force it. When my mind is blocked, the last thing I can do is apply force. Second, before you go to bed at night, ask your subconscious to work on this name problem for you. if you wake up with a good one, great, if you don't, no problems, you will try again the next night. Best, CP
