Are you into humiliation? If so, call her Nigel.

(Apologies to any Nigels in the building).

Haha yes I am but I want a name that means something to us both and can call her in public!

I have a bit of a hard time seeing how if you recently taken on a slave you are ready to collar her already.
It is not that you are doing it wrong, but that to me, collaring is a big deal and I don't have any comprehension of instant collars: just add submissive partner.

If you recently took her on then you still do not really know each other yet... which means it is difficult to know if the 2 of you are actually compatible as partners.

Having said that, I had a sense very early on with [my] Master that He was "the One".

Her name should be something special to both of you; is there a character in a book you both love, that you could use?

In our dynamic, He has a variation of my name; a nickname, if you will, that is made special by virtue of Him adding "His" before it.

And for me, there is nothing more special than my being His.

To be fair I wasn't expecting her to submit so totally so quickly to me, but then we have talked in great detail over the last few weeks, both online and in person and it just feel right (maybe I am being naïve but I live and die by my sword)

Yes I was thinking we are both fans of the works of Tolkein, so maybe a name from there.. as I said, I have some ideas, I primarily wanted to hear others experiences of naming their slaves, so please, nobody fight!

BUT, usually the slave will "tell" you by some action, just as dogs and cats "tell" you their name. A friend had a cat that as soon as they got home, curled up in his Nikes.

This.
Let the name evolve, lest you tag her with the wrong one.Until then, you can use basic terms of affection, you know, the traditional ones,"Slut, cunt, meat, it, slave."
They work fine on a temporary basis.

I really don't rightly remember what I called her before Mouse (Maybe the lilone), but then again,I suck with names. All guys are "Dude"to me and girls are things like "chica, hon," and "darling."

Yeah-I know that sounds kinda sexist. Sorry. What can you say,I'm an elderly old school cat from the South.
Plus, it's cute when I do it :-)

I have recently taken on a slave, and will be formally collaring her in about a weeks time, we have agreed that I should give her a new slave name, however I am having a bit of 'writers block' so to speak! Was just wondering what other masters (not gorean) have given to their slaves? I know ultimately it is down to me and my preferences but I would love to hear ideas, ie do I go for a pretty girls name that I like, something more exotic with a hidden meaning, or maybe something a bit more..ahem..obvious! Would love to hear your experiences!

If you were adopting a dog, would you ask a bunch of total strangers what name you should give it? If you're going to give her a "slave name", shouldn't it be something that holds special meaning to you and her?

Yeah, that's right. Why are you asking strangers, especially those of us who are very strange, what to call your dog or slave depending on how you look at her, right?

And oh by the way, what do you think your slave would say if she know you were doing this? Cause I heard the opinion that she would shitcan you if she found out, for some reason.

Waitaminute, does a slave have a say? In my case, yes, since I love her dearly and always like to hear from her, that is Gorean btw, but in your case let's just say no for the sake of argument, since we do that here, and so let me suggest "Nosay". It's short, sweet and kinda exotic if you say it right and say it quickly, like "here Nosay! "

You can say it with or without the cap since it's your slave.

Arturas and star.

Give her a number and watch her closely.

Since you realize you do not want a name from Gorean based on one man´s fantasy.

So I have a suggestion for you, why not use a name from ASA belief or Asatru, it is an old belief from the Viking period, and there are girl names among the Nordic gods.

I guess you already know Thor with the hammer, Thor is the son of Odin and Fjørgyn. He is the mighty god of thunder, the symbol of force and power. Thor is married to the gold lured Sif. Sif is the goddess of vegetation.
I've always liked the name Sif, slave name from ASA belief or Asatru will give the name of a strong history, and it is from a time where people were really slaves

Freja Odin's raven.
Love Goddess Freja. Freja is love and fertility goddess of the Vans family. As we have just heard, she is the daughter of Njord. She has eight sisters and twin brother Freyr. She lives on Folkvang where she receives the dead warriors who fall in battle, but has not been found worthy to come to Valhalla. Freja is married to Od (possibly Odin's doppelgängers). A few days after the wedding takes Od out on a long journey - and has not yet returned. When Freja mourns Od, she cries tears of gold. Enamored couple sacrifices to Freja to ensure their love.
When Freya going on a trip, her car prestressed two cats. She can also wear a feathers and fly like a falcon. The vain Freja had four dwarfs to make gold jewelery Brisingamen. She offers them gold and silver jewelery, but dwarves insists that she is to get the jewelry must spend a night with each of them. It goes Freja help (and we know that her husband was out on a long journey). The piece was once stolen by Loki but recovered in the battle of Heimdal. Lovers who sacrifice for Freya. Together with Nanna and Frigg hear Freja to goddesses.

I've had a dog named Freja. and I also had a girlfriend named Freja.

Well it was just a thought

For the record. If I bought a dog horse or falcon it would not be weird to ask for name ideas on a forum. Hell. I've thought about "name my new falcon contests" in other forums.

I disagree entirely. Using a religious name from a religion you don't believe is just Nasty as hell. It's rude at best to all those believers. Asatru folks are at least as devout as any Christian. Leave their shit alone. Appropriating their names is not cute. If being rude to believers gets you off tho. I sugest naming her Eve, Mary or Mohammed. More bang for your buck.

Incedentially. If you name any woman Seqouyah I'll hammer on you and her without any mercy. But a Man named after the Man Seqouyah is an honor to my Tribe. And one of our heroes.

I had a guy name me improperly once... He called me fluffy because i reminded him of a tiny lapdog who would curl in its owners lap..

I kicked him in the balls and tossed my drink in his face

He was reminded quickly im a cat with claws...

I was initially going to say that you were perhaps over thinking this, but I can understand your desire
for an "official" slave name, as you mention the collaring is to be a formal event.

He doesn't refer to me by any one specific name, it's more like whatever random syllable(s) that happen
to slip off his tongue at the moment. In fact, most people looking in on us would think we were more
like aliens than 2 people in a D/s relationship, as it often appears as though we have our very own language.
Whether he calls me boosywasa or slaveyslaveofthehighesthonor, there is no mistaking that I'm his.

Really? It sounds weird to me. We didn't need help naming the horse. We tried a few different things that spoke to us and picked the one that fit him best.

Beyond that, some people just don't take to slave names. Or honorifics for that matter. He tried one at the beginning hoping if he used a different name I would have less of an emotional trigger to some things that came up, that it would make it more role play and less real to me. Didn't work.
