Back on topic. Why not use a name from one of the couples in Tolkens works that reminds you both of your relationship and what you have experianced in life together so far? You guys prob have read the books more recently than myself. And you know your selves and your history better than I. But I might go that direction.

I get your position. Not asking for him to be banned. But I figure if he can express his negative opinion of the OP than I get to do the same in regard to his posts "on topic" about the OP. Right?

Yup :)

So back to this thread, Carol and I were already an item for a long time before we ran into the whole BDSM thing so pet names were already in place. Some of the other reasons I've heard for applying slave names don't apply to Carol (namely the need to reinforce some head space). So there's just be no real point to coming up with something new for us.

And no, it is not wrong to ask for inspiration. Honestly the only time I really get fed up with such questions is when they come in the form of, "So I got a slave now tell me what to do with her." I don't see anything odd about asking about names.

I like the sound of Eastern names. I pulled up Middle Eastern, Indian, and some Asian names and their meanings. I came across one that was also the name of a kitten in a cartoon. Kitten was the first pet name I used for my girl, so I called her Amira. In fact we are having her name changed legally to Amira as her first name. She has also asked that I give her a middle name at that time, so I have some more thinking to do myself.

Naming a slave can be for many different reasons. It can be something that is a lifestyle name, a pet name or renaming them as part of a psychological technique of training.

yup not a little. Have no idea where you got that from.

Anyway, it wouldn't bother me if people belittle my choices. Hell, people belittle my choices almost every single day both here and offline. I shrug it off. They aren't me and they don't live my life. Why the hell would I care??

As for the topic, I didn't ask people what I should name my baby when I was pregnant. I sure as hell wouldn't come online asking someone what to name my slave or goldfish or cat or whatever.

You name it when the inspiration hits. Until then it goes by slut or slave or it's real name or guppy or fish or kitty or dumb kitty, etc...

Not sure what that has to do with anything!

Really?!? You don't?

You decided to ask a bunch of strangers on the internet about something that is extremely personal, special and intimate.

Personally I think naming a "slave" is more than a little "out there". But the good news is I have a name for you and your slave. Your new and improved name would be "ClueLess" and her name should be "Why-am-i with-this-guy".

I realize that you prolly won't use these names. However those nicks seem to suit you to a T. I know when I was stumped to name my kids. The very FIRST thing I did was log on and ask a bunch of strangers.

Totally uncalled for. This is a purely abusive post. Why did you come here to "contribute". If you had no positive advice you could have just ignored this. Ashamed for you.

Gee thanks I think. I'm not some pollyanna who just agrees with whatever. If I think the post is moronic i call it that way.

How are ppl going to learn unless they hear opposite viewpoints? I thought I did a bang up job in my post. I gave him a couple of nicks to try on for size.

You really need to get over yourself. BTW I'm really glad your ashamed for me.

So because the OP does his thing different than you it's cool to trash him? You are some sort of authority on BDSM and if someone does it different they are wrong. Very glad you told me because judging from your posts I'd have guessed your more of a keyboard warrior than a real authority. We are all so very lucky to have you with us to impart your great wisdom.

That is exactly what I was thinking. You may kiss my ring some other time.

Folks I just found an addition to my tag line. Thanks switch.

That's a lot like Wife and I. We were(still are) first a religious team. She was smokin hot had my same beliefs and is my best friend. I was in love long before sex. Her digging my bag of tricks was just an awesome bonus.

We don't have official names either. But a ton of pet names are used between us.

To cue the other partner it's a master/slave demand (or occasionally a Mistress/slave demand) in public we use a pet name that's strange. I call her "my sweet" often. So if I want her to know its a non vanilla thing I might call her. "sugar" instead. It says "Master is talking" and tells her getting me that beer is mandatory. We hardly ever do this tho. Mostly we are vanilla when with vanillas.

Amira kicks ass as a name. It's beautiful and tells your slave she is loved and valued for her contribution to her life. My Persian falconry buddy is named Amir. (he hates cuz he's not Arab. Wanted a Persian name growing up). But this gives me an idea. How about a Persian synonym for Amira as the middle name? It would emphasize her status as an important part of her life. I've got no idea what that synonym would be. But I could ask Amir. He speaks fluent Persian. Lived in Iran until politics got too complicated.

Let's get back on topic again. And hopefully folks will be classy enough to put whose asside and stop shiting on the OP for an honest question deserving real responses not flames for keyboard warriors.

You may attack the post but not the poster. There have been posts on this thread that were borderline but after review by several moderators, deemed to be acceptable. Posters may start a new thread in Off Topic to discuss moderation but may not discuss it here. Further posts on this issue will be pulled.

I posted a rather lengthy explanation which I assume the mods pulled as I couldn't find it. I forget the details but suffice to say my angst was NOT directed at you.

I attempted to send you a email to explain further but your profile is turned off.

read some Erenisch Comics I have found the names there very interesting, and can influence your choices.

for me the names I have given speak from my relation, and they's looks the, hotter they are the the lower you must push remember if you are to have other pet's they'r name should bring them to the same level.
