so i'm wondering who else is.

edit: i could have dressed it up as some kind of screed or manifesto or a "question" with charged wording but that seemed tacky. just straight up wanted to know who else here absolutely does not believe in god. :D

i'm pretty cool with pantheists. gore vidal said that it's better to have no gods at all or a bunch of gods. it's rabid monotheists who cause most of the problems!

'Atheist' is such a non-committal term. How about 'god debunker'?

lol... you realize "many gods" is an over-simplistic explanation.

I am one as well - of an easy-going, non-militant variety. I don't really advertise it nor attempt to reach out to other people who don't believe in gods. Likewise, I don't seek companionship of other people who don't believe in astrology or those who seriously doubt the existence of leprechauns.

cool beans. i'm pretty assertive about it, in the same way that i'm assertive in mocking racism and homophobia and misogyny.

to each their own, though. at least you're on the side of the angels, if we believed in angels. which we don't.

FR

I consider myself more agnostic than atheist.

Thinking on that, I'm probably more atheist when it comes to legal/political issues and opposition to organized religion.

But when it comes to the end of the day and I look up at the stars and wonder what it's all about, then I'm probably more agnostic.

I just have a hard time with the idea that god wants to be worshiped.

Why?

Stopper, ain't it?

There was an interesting article in the Guardian, regarding different types of atheist. I'm curious, of those who identify as atheist, which category would they put themselves in?
