Issas should have been apostrophied to show ownership. But you're not paying attention either, and who should on this hysterical, unfounded thread?

"unfounded thread"?

Four Americans were murdered in Benghazi, including the first American Ambassador murdered since Jimmy Carter (the former worst POTUS in history) was in office, during terrorist attacks on two U.S. assets which lasted almost 12 hours, the POTUS ordered nothing be done to help them, the survivors have been kept secret and under orders to not talk about it ever since, the SoS proclaims "What difference, at this point, does it make?" and you say a thread about same is unfounded? Pray tell which thread about which scandal about the worst POTUS in history would you consider founded?

mnottertail -> RE: Benghazi (8/2/2013 9:34:30 AM)

No, the former worst was Hoover, then Reagan, and then W. I will leave Slimy Dick's place as an exercise for the reader.

I think the Reagan Beirut fiasco, or Iran Contra, or some foundation in this thread would have been more appropriate. When it turns out that a sonic boom or non-existant planes and spectacular Rambo filmographies wouldn't have saved the day, I see it as unfounded.

Let us talk about every single person who died in Iraq. That is founded, and will take some time.

I will allow you the honors.

Ryan Beaupre.

Go get 'em, Tiger.

I'll skip over yet another ultra con declaring himself to be a moderate independent except for ROFLMAO!

I won't even mention the NSA thing, we'll just GIVE HIM THAT ONE OK, although I will point out that under bush it was SUPPOSED TO EXPIRE, and obama has pretty much said, this is the world you live in now DEAL WITH IT!

This however is just too much.

The big "scandals" about the NSA about its data collection programs, like PRISM, which were authorized by the "Protect America Act" of 2007 which did have sunsets. However in 2008 the FISA amendments of 2008 that supposedly repealed the Protect America Act actually reauthorized the data gathering stuff without a sunset.

http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/110/s1927/text
http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bills/110/hr6304/text

Then in January 2009, before Obama was sworn in, the FISA court released a ruling that said that the NSA data gathering programs were legal.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/15/AR2009011502311.html?hpid=topnews

So Obama is just continuing a policy of your hero W and not one that is supposed to have ended. And considering the hissy fit had by conservatives when the President tried to close Gitmo I can only imagine the apoplexy that would have occurred if the President unilaterally shut down the program.

sooo you are saying OBAMA is working tirelessly to repeal these things?

nooo I don't think so....

I may gave been wrong about when or if they were supposed to expire, but I was 100% correct when I said OBAMA as made it clear HE LIKES IT, and has NO INTENTION of ending it....

and of course you skipped everything else, because even though you wish to pretend they MEAN NOTHING, they all DID HAPPEN!

one other lil DETAIL, no president EVER was my HERO, thats just you PRETENDING AGAIN! saying things like only shows your childish nature!

I do not DEFEND BUSH, I only point ot facts, and hey I even admit when I was WRONG about something!

You forget he also destroyed the black family and that on at least one occasion when he was in the house he had more votes than there were registered voters in his district

As do the nutsuckers, they love the shit out of it, because they are strengthening it all the time, while simultaneously impugning Obama and feigning butthurt. So seems to me that those throwing vulgarities around and having no point other than horseshit are not proving anything but that they disingenously spin asswipe into what passes for their assembled caucus of cretins as visionary ideas, because such a display is certainly vulgar.

You are on a fucksite, sport. If you don't like swearing, don't say stupid shit on a forum where people swear.

Obama and company have to think a little before they come up with cover stories. Latest is, there was some "supersecret" operation going on in Benghazi and we had LOTS of CIA there. The secret nature of this operation must be kept secret, so lets move on.

Secret operation? How convienent! First, If there were lots of CIA there, why didn't they come to the aid of our Ambassador? And why wouldn't the military have resources available to cover a "supersecret" operation?

And even worse, If we had lots of CIA in Benghazi, and the dumb bastards didn't have a clue about the attack, while they were THERE walking around in Benghazi, For Christ's sake, we'll have to change their name to CLOWNS IN ACTION!!!

How could he when an amendment to do just that was defeated soundly in the House? And if he tried wouldn't you cons start whining about he was coddling terrorists? Just like the cons tried when he tried to close Gitmo and when he closed the CIA prisons and stopped torturing prisoners.

Consider this carefully, if we said "it was a protest over this movie" like the actual protest that had happened in Egypt does that not cause the surviving terrorists to breathe a little easier and let their guards down just a little bit? If you were President and your choice was spreading a little disinformation or giving the terrorists who killed 4 Americans a heads up that we knew exactly who they were which would you choose?

There has never been any secret that we had a number of CIA agents in Benghazi. The CIA did send a convoy of armored SUV's to relieve the consulate.

I really doubt we had them there twiddling their thumbs and I'm damn sure the CIA does not want whatever they were doing there spread all over CNN.

Without an asset in the specific group that attacked the consulate I see no way that the CIA could have prevented the attack.

Phydeaux -> RE: Benghazi (8/2/2013 1:41:10 PM)

Just pointing out that recent blather has been to ignore the fact that it pretty much is *proved* that planes are in range and could have gotten there.

When facts don't support you - change the subject.
