Why is it that if men have a right that women don't have, it would be considered sexist to suggest women have to beg for that same right or else they are stuffed. But the other way around, it's common tactic to tell men they have to beg for a right women have that they don't? Ya know, how people keep asking me in this forum "what am I doing about it" when I raise a male issue? Kinda like... If women want equal pay, they have to beg for it. If women want no glass ceilings, they have to beg for it. If women want no patriarchy, they have to beg for it. Otherwise, it's deserved that males have all these privileges and no woman is ever allowed to complain unless she is willing to beg for it. It's not allowed to be a topic unless you beg for it, even that males have these rights already. Your thoughts?

I have read that three times and I still can't figure out the point you are trying to make. You are saying that women should 'beg' for equal pay? Because men have to beg for... what exactly?

Keep guessing? WTF? That you think anyone cares enough to play guessing games says so much about why you are unattached. Learn to stop playing games and spend some time thinking about what you really want and how to go about getting it. Most of our lives are NOT based on a cheesy porn fantasy, so get over yourself.

Boy, the only "right" that women have that men don't, that I can think of off the top of my head, is to bleed each month. And gosh, i'm sure there are a lot of men who want to do that! [8\|]

I don't think that when people were asking you "what are you doing about it," I don't think they were suggesting that anyone has to beg. If there's a political or social cause which is sound, people who organize and protest for change are not "begging" (or "whining" for that matter). They're exercising their Constitutional rights to free speech and bringing their grievances to the government.

If you want to have a conversation, then why not give an example that is specific, or relates to how you personally have felt your right to be whatever type of man you are or want to be has been denied. I do not know of any examples of men being made to beg. So, if you do, then by all means, back up your words with your experience. My other suggestion, (and this is not meant to offend at all) - you obviously see the world so differently than most of us. There is no right or wrong to that, but it seems as though life may be much more difficult for you than it needs to be. It must be hard to be so angry so much of the time. Perceptions are not reality, and feelings are not facts. Spend time with a therapist and see if you might find a more peaceful way of viewing and interacting with the world. I am not suggesting that there aren't things that shouldn't be changed in terms of more awareness for your issues with the status quo. I am saying that I think some time with a therapist might help you find more effective ways to affect change in the world.

Men can have the right to abortion the very second they can get pregnant. If men did get pregnant, you can bet abortion would have been legal much earlier. Sorry, next? Where's all my rights that men don't have?

Well that does sound like a horrendous injustice. Nick - in support of your cause, I hereby waive my right as a woman to conduct media interviews in the male locker rooms during athletic events. Hope my small gesture towards gender equality is appreciated.
