He would have told Keanu Reeves to handle it.

pseudo scientists and materialist pseudo skeptics are both as bad as each other

Two thoughts:

(a) What do you mean by "materialist pseudo skeptics"?

(b) No wonder i can't find any socks! [:)]

truckinslave -> RE: Don't let right-wing Texans put debunked pseudoscience in science textbooks used by millions (8/15/2013 10:13:03 AM)

Any specifics?
At all?

The really coolest part is that Texas-approved textbooks are often the only ones available nationwide, if I remember the claims made while the elections for the board were ongoing.

In minnesota, they will tear those chapters out. We take education seriously. Other states will use older books, sans asswipe.

Texas School book depository.

After Jesse Ventura and Al Franken, I'm supposed to take seriously the notion that Minnesotans are capable of seriousness?

Seriously. You jest.

mnottertail -> RE: Don't let right-wing Texans put debunked pseudoscience in science textbooks used by millions (8/15/2013 10:35:17 AM)

Well, compared to the nutsuckers and their lot. Ventura was an ok governor, Franken is doing a pretty good job.

But west virginia has some real big shit? Not known to the world at large, I can tell you. Nobody takes the toothless squeal like a piggers seriously.

truckinslave -> RE: Don't let right-wing Texans put debunked pseudoscience in science textbooks used by millions (8/15/2013 10:37:08 AM)

Happy to read that you took my point seriously.

mnottertail -> RE: Don't let right-wing Texans put debunked pseudoscience in science textbooks used by millions (8/15/2013 10:42:22 AM)

Taking it seriously and giving it credence are wholly different propositions.

truckinslave -> RE: Don't let right-wing Texans put debunked pseudoscience in science textbooks used by millions (8/15/2013 11:16:15 AM)

Happy happy happy

Franken is doing a pretty good job.

Franken is doing a very good job and gets big props for never going on the Sunday talk shows or pretty much any national news. He's just doing his job for the people of his state. We could do with 99 more Senators with the same principles no matter their politics.

Barbeque and Book Depositories.

Nellie Mae, Jethro Clampett.

In what seems to me to be a very favorable offering, wikipedia lists his major legislative accomplishment as a proposed "financial reform legislation amendment " which never became law.
They also note rude behavior during a speech by M McConnell, behavior for which he had the grace to apologize.
If by "good job" you mean keeping his head down and not being a clown, I agree.

Considering the behavior of congress over the last dozen or so years, it's fucking AMAZEABALLS.
