What part of "clown" do the Obamabots not understand, and just how deep must their insecurity go to worry about what one is doing in his act?

Both Republicans and Democrats alike in Missouri expressed outrage, and some questioned whether to continue state funding for the state fair.

The antics led the state's second highest-ranking Republican official, Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, to denounce the performance in a tweet Sunday. He said it was "disrespectful" to the president.

"We are better than this," Kinder tweeted.

Sounds like more than just "Obamabots" were perturbed.

In the admittedly quick reading I've done, the folks most affronted appear to be Missouri officials, concerned that their state came across as a buffoonish backwater.

Who is this "Abercrombie" person? Who is this "Henke" person? Colorful dialogue, but not reporting.  And what is Perry Beam's problem? "You can disagree with a government policy, but that doesn’t prompt you to put a stick up his [backside] and incite the crowd to say how many of you want to see him be trampled by a bull. To wish that on somebody is hateful." Seriously? Doesn't this Beam fellow know that that wasn't really the President? As for the kindness of political humor generally, Perry Beam must live somewhere that doesn't have electricity.

The fifth bull was behind the gate ready to go. His rider, O.J. Jones, pumped with adrenalin and, like the other riders, shaking in anticipation, was settling onto the back of Number 117 when, up in the announcer's booth, Dusty Cleveland enunciated the name that demanded respect.

"JA-LA-PE-NO!"

The big white bull with black spots and the foot-long horns came slamming out, looking big as a pickup truck, and Skimmer Walker, his feet spread, his hands out to the side, crouched to make a move.

Jalapeno dispatched his rider before the mandatory eight seconds. Now he stood tall, his head up, looking for something to charge.

T.J. Hawkins rolled out the big inner tube, and the bull lowered his head, shot forward and launched into the tube, sending it bounding down the center of the arena. The crowd cheered.

Then the bull saw the George Bush dummy.

He tore into it, sending the rubber mask flying halfway across the sand as he turned toward the fence, sending cowboys scrambling up the fence rails, hooking one with his horn and tossing him off the fence.

DC, they only responded when the O'bots at CNN decided that a clown's routine was worthy of international news coverage, and started sticking microphones in faces over it.

Again, how deep must the insecurity run, for that to happen?

If hillary becomes prez-we wont be allowed to mock her either- as it will be noted as sexest.

Really- people are so worried about a rodeo clown- while we are droning people and cutting programs. Sounds backwords to me.

Hey, what part of "BLACKFACE ISN'T ACCEPTABLE IN 2013" don't racist fucking assholes not get?

Oh, yeah. White Supremacy means they don't have to understand. Their freedom to be racists is being impinged when they're called out on it!

From what I'm reading, the state fair folks issued a statement the next day (Sunday) and took action the next business day (Monday). That seems relatively speedy.

Are you saying Missouri Republicans were simply doing CNN's bidding? That makes them sound a bit spineless.

My understanding is that the furor started with a fairgoer's video that went viral online, reaching a variety of news outlets around the globe. That seems to suggest that the subject generated interest beyond "O'bots at CNN."

If obama is crushed by this- then his finger shant be on the red nuclear button. He can not handle it- nor can the folks he sorruonds himself with. His team does not have thick skin. We do not need his finger on the nuke button when rodeo clown is upsetting to him.

What part of "wearing an Obama mask" screams "blackface?"

Do people have the right to be racists to any extent, in your opinion?

I'm sure that they do.
Of course, they also have a responsibility to be held accountable for whatever they happen to speak freely, which is all that seems to have happened here.

DC, you are right on point, but missing it all the same. This was a clown act in a rodeo, and it became a big deal.

Now perhaps it's a short term memory thing, or just another shining example of liberal/left hypocrisy, but wasn't mockery of the President a completely acceptable form of expression, just a few short years ago?

It's a fucking CLOWN.

Oh, and to Moonhead: Yeah. Our Internal Revenue Service has been known to target people based on their political affiliations. People need to go to prison over it, but that hasn't started happening yet, so I'm thinking the guy has every right to be legitimately concerned.

I completely agree that they have the responsibility (not sure that's the right word, maybe others have the right to hold them accoutable might be a better way to state it? whatever... I'm sure we're in agreement on it) to be held accountable for their speech and actions. How was this racist, though? Is it unusual for a rodeo clown to portray a President? Kirata showed that this isn't the first time that's happened.

Free speech zone
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The free speech zone at the 2004 Democratic National Convention
The free speech zone at the 2004 Democratic National Convention (different angle)

Free speech zones (also known as First Amendment Zones, Free speech cages, and Protest zones) are areas set aside in public places for political activists to exercise their right of free speech in the United States. The First Amendment to the United States Constitution states that "Congress shall make no law... abridging... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." The existence of free speech zones is based on U.S. court decisions stipulating that the government may regulate the time, place, and manner—but not content—of expression. A free speech zone is more restrictive than an exclusion zone[citation needed].

how can anyone take this government shit seriously? LMAO

they mock us to our faces in the legislatures and courts and we simply bend over for more!

Dont know, dont care who Ambercrombie or the rest are. I gave a reference to the OP... nothing more. I am sure people can find what they are looking for when they google the source.

They have the right to be racist and others have the right not to do business with racists which is what is happening here.

No one was arrested they are just losing income because they did a truly disgusting and repugnant thing. Do not forget the economic backlash against the Dixie Chicks by the same cons now going apoplectic for simply saying they were ashamed W was from Texas.
