I don't mind sharing the road with bicycles, pedestrians and horses. Farm tractors with loads of hay which they couldn't be arsed to tie down are another matter. I don't want to be buried under a load of hay when they go around a corner and the bales start toppling.

What bugs me...when I'm the only one who seems to have moral boundaries she is bothered by while no one else thinks it's all that important.

Ahhhh a Volvo, does this also go for motorcyclists too?

Small mopeds, monkey bikes etc no problem, might have to put wipers on to setting 2, but it will shift.

Basically, the manual recommends use of the pedal next to the accelerator for anything above 125cc

I remember once when I was riding and some little punk driving mommy's Beemer had his friend lean out the passenger window and punch the back of my head.
They didn't realize my acceleration and they got stuck at a redlight. As I approached, the driver who feared (rightly) for his well being ran the red light. BANG, Mommy's Beemer is totaled. I just sat and leered at them until the cops got there and they not only got charges with failure to yield resulting in contact but they got a nice assault charge.

Trust me, they got off easier than if I had caught them.

.

Another thing that bugs me, are people who flirt on the boards! Yes, I'm talking about you! Eva & Jola .

People who whistle to get your attention...... Try saying "excuse me"

People who nudge you out of their way........ Try saying "excuse me"

Cyclists, on the pavement, who ring their bell at me..... Try saying "excuse me"

(I don't respond well to whistles and bells)

Locally we have the Boise Greenbelt, which is a paved pathway that follows the Boise River with over 25 miles of paths for the use of pedestrians, bicyclists, skateboarders, and rollerbladers. When someone on wheels approaches a pedestrian from behind the normal "warning" is to call out, "On your left," so that the person walking knows that someone is passing them on the left hand side (the normal side for passing in the States). Unfortunately, when the walker hears the word "left" they seem to tend to automatically move in that direction instead of clearing that side for the person on wheels.

If, instead, you say, "Excuse me," the usual response is for them to stop where they are and turn to look at you, again creating more of a hazard rather than clearing a reasonable pathway for the faster users.

So, the only thing that really seems to work as intended is to use a signaling device like a bell.

Folks seem to forget that some cyclists cruise at about 30 MPH

I'm not one of those cyclists. 10 miles an hour is about my limit, and "Move it, dumbass!" works just fine for me. If not, I have no problem with using their body as my cushion.

I laughed at this.

Being relatively new to the work-from-home group, I'm still amazed at how completely annoying neighbors can be during the daytime.
I'm excited for winter in a way. The neighbors behind me won't leave their barking dogs out all day, the guy on the corner will take his driveway workshop into the garage, the man that insists on mowing his lawn every other day will have to take a break, and the new one that just brought with her a daycare right next door probably won't have the kids outside as long.

I'm really starting to believe I have Misophonia.

I have a mild case of it, to the point that when I was pregnant with the youngest one*two decades ago now* I couldnt stand the sound of the cat licking itself, it literally made me cry in frustration.
Now I cannot sleep without a fan on or a form of white noise, which I can handle strangely. Ive been working from home for almost a decade and while I enjoy music on my computer, the sounds coming from games, sudden commercials on a feed, or other computer noises bug the hell out of me. some days are worse than others, I seem to be more sensitive to them when ovulating, when even sound of the dog breathing can turn me to use earplugs.
Next door has a basset, which HOWLS, and I can hear it even when its inside, but they dont keep him outside, thank heavens.
Im now wearing my headset with some of my music on.... have to drown out the sound of hammering before I go nuts.

I'll have to start paying attention to triggers. I've never thought about that before.

I've been this way as far back as I can remember. Certain movements are bad (like a person shaking their leg nonstop) as well. Loud breathing, chewing, licking (my god, the licking sends me into a near panick attack) are the worst.
I needed silence to sleep but, because of my husband, now need a fan to sleep.
There are times when I'm more tolerant than others so it'd be nice to know why.
Sometimes it's so bad I feel like a rabid dog, completely out of my control.

I don't think there's enough room for mine...

Truckers who take 30 minutes to pass each other.
People driving slow in the left lane.
People stopped in the middle of the isle at the store. (Pull your buggy to the side!)
People who don't say thank you when hubby holds the door open for them.
People who touch my hair, without asking.
People who think you're stupid, and you just wanna punch em in the face.
People on bicycles who don't use the bike lane.
Hmmm...people, just people.
:)

Around here, people assume the bike lane is just an extra-large parking area. Or a turning lane. I don't ride much except around my immediate neighborhood, but I've seen some incredibly stupid things happen in bike lanes.

And I don't like people touching me without my permission either, hair or otherwise. Been that way since I was little.

all of the above, except that here in the uk it's the right lane.

also people who think they have the right to be the emotional rights adjudicators 'you don't get the right to feel crappy about your situation because someone else has it worse than you. you should now be happy, understanding and sympathetic. don't you dare be upset or disappointed that someone else has interfered with your life again....especially when it's someone you don't know!'

my neighbours silly little yappy dogs that yap for no reason for hours on end.

medics that don't read my file and ask me what my family plans are. i'm 41 and had an hysterectomy 7 years ago you knob.

i'm sure I can come up with more later.

needles

What many people don't know is many company trucks are limited to a set speed on their computer and the truck won't go any faster no matter how hard they push on the throttle or how much you cuss.... Try blaming the person in the right lane for speeding up, not the person trying to pass.

As a former driver, I have several things that bug me about people in cars.
1) Don't play chicken with a 18 wheeler...you will lose...badly.
2)Coming across 3 lanes of traffic in front of an 18 wheeler because you suddenly remembered this is your turn off
3)Cars that sit there at a stop sign until you get within a 100 ft and then decide to pull out in front of you and drive 40 in a 55mph zone.
4)Cars that suddenly slam on their brakes because A) Junior needs a slap in the back seat B) You spilled your hot coffee in your lap. C) You dropped your phone while texting. D)You are getting a bj and forget where you are and what you are supposed to be doing. [and yes,I've had all of these done to me]
5)Using your car as a beauty shop, a restaurant[and I mean eating a 3 to 4 course meal, not a sandwich] or a library is not advisable out on the interstate at 70mph.....

Edited to add... 6 ) MEMPHIS DRIVERS!...lol

Once, the driver's wife was cute enough to tie down but alas, I had no permission so I just tied the hay.

People who let their kids run around in Restaurants. Get the little feckers to sit still. I don't go out to eat to have your kids crashing into my table and spilling my drink. I have kids too, they're the small people sitting at the table like civilised human beings.

Particularly when there's more than three of the mouthy little cunts and they feel safe to start trouble.
