High beams. I drive a lot after sundown, and I've noticed a lot of people leave the high beams on all the time, usually coupled with their fog lights. I drive a smaller car, so either oncoming or behind me I get blinded. Flashing mine doesn't seem to register, and more than once I was tempted to start packing an air pistol. My current fantasy is to get an aircraft landing light wired into my back hatch so when one of those assholes comes up behind me I can give them a taste of their own medicine.

I would suggest a Golight Stryker GL-3151 Wireless Remote Control Spotlight with Dash Mount Remote, peak beam intensity 200 thousand Candela

Got it. I'll just tell the cops I need a really good backup light.

Waitresses who start clearing the table before everyone eating has finished. If I wanted a face full of armpit, I would have ordered one.

I agree with the face full of armpit!

Waitresses that come back WAY too often also get under my skin! Now, I just say (if I've frequented the place) that I will let you know if I need anything....

Also, since I'm here...

I live in a highly Mexican populated town...in the grocery store...a man needed help, but I couldn't help him because I don't speak Spanish. When he asked my why I don't speak Spanish... My response of... "Why don't you speak English?" wasn't well received. That bugs the heck out of me... when I can't go into a local salon because I can't trust they know what I'm saying... it makes me want to scream!

What Californians consider pizza bugs me too... I've resigned to the fact that I can't eat it here, but boy do I wish I could. I miss pizza!

I recently highlighted/cut my hair, and someone at work touched it. I don't like when people invade my space... we have unwritten social guidelines for a reason... one of them is giving each other enough space...

you mention waitresses being in your face......i'm the same with shop people. particularly technology shop people who pounce on you as soon as you enter the shop....'you alright there?' with the false over the top enthusiasm. it instantly puts my back up. I've just walking into the shop. of course i'm alright here otherwise i wouldn't have walked in would i? and believe it or not but i'm more than capable of looking for what i want, or asking you myself if i need help..

in one phone shop a couple of months ago my son and i were asked by 4 staff within less than 10mins. the shop is tiny! i said at the top of my voice so they could all here that if one more of them invaded my space and interrupted my conversation with my son again we'd be walking out of the shop. i'm all for customer service, but be seen and not heard until i want you.

Okay, I am an old geezer type critter with a bunch of old injuries that has made it necessary to walk with a cane, so:

People in stores that either shove past you OR try to run the old slow geezer guy down with shopping carts.

What makes it worse it is illegal and socially unacceptable to beat them with your cane... or pull the colt out and knee cap the idiots.

Amen. I'm not that old, I hate it when total strangers tell me "You don't look that hurt," when I come hobbling up. I have seriously thought of having business cards done up with a brief description of my motorcycle accident and other past injuries that require me to walk with a cane. More than once, I've seriously weighed the options of working them over with mine (FC-graphite, 36K PSI).

Alas, it usually happens when there are too many witnesses/cameras. I have, however, "accidentally" gotten mine tangled in someone's legs, to which I angrily tell them as they're picking themselves off the floor, "Watch it, asshole! You almost made me fall over!". Works every time. You just gotta be quick with it and wait for the right opportunity. Usually, it's when someone tries to pass me on my right that I can do it. Just a quick turn of the wrist and vengeance is mine.

What's that line about age and treachery?

And for when your desired response is too well-documented, you could just go with something along the lines of "And you don't look that fucking stupid, but I guess sometimes looks deceive don't they?"

To go with the above, people who let their crotch spawn run wild in grocery stores with shopping carts.
I watched one zipping up and down the aisles and gleefully making the little old ladies jump out of his way several years ago. He came down my aisle and I didn't jump. He discovered a law of physics. When a small object hits a large object that is well braced, the small object ends up on the floor.

My cane was made for me, a nice piece of 1 inch diameter hickory, hardened. When my sister and I had goats, one liked to charge people, it was not uncommon for me to land a good thump on his head with the cane.

As for tripping someone, I have never intentionally (I swear) done that. I might have inadvertently moved my cane in such a manner that they do the jobs themselves, or, my most favorite, make the following statement in a socially acceptable loud voice, "You are really going to complain about having to deal with a disabled vet in public?" The reaction of the other customers in the general hearing range of my voice is amusing to say the least, and down right funny as hell most times.

I'm more treacherous than someone younger than me, and I am using that line. Thank you!

My canes are all factory-built. I had a home-rolled one, but it was way too heavy and made my hand hurt from the angle. I have a German-made ash cane that needs some serious TLC, the aforementioned graphite, and a standard drugstore stressed aluminum and foam for those occasions my nice walking sticks may grow legs. This is going to be my next purchase: M48 Tactical Hiking Staff/Axe, for when I go out on my nature walks. It's actually the correct height for me out of the box (37"), so I won't have to modify it.

People who let their children run wild throughout the stores. I was out buying a couple of things at the store tonight and while I'm trying to look at a dress, three little girls are running around my legs and I had to try not to fall on top of them while also not wanting to twist my ankles. ggggrr...I was not a happy camper. I gave the mother a dirty look who was standing right next to me but she did nothing. I ended up just walking out of the store. I was not in the mood to have to fight kids for a dress.

If you can't control your children in public then don't bring them out in public.

The freaking idiot of no taste that determines the videos on VH1 Classic's "Totally 80's!"

He seems to be working under the song rotation of 1 terrific rocking song followed by 4 lame ass one hit wonders who should have never been allowed in a recording studio. There is a special place in hell for the people who discovered these lame individuals. If I wanted to subject myself to music concerning true love, ice cream sodas, virginity and just holding hands, I would download music from the freaking fifties.

I mean the 80's were about sex, drugs, booze, debauchery, and inebriated insanity!
