No doubt some of them did.
One of the nastiest little characters (theft, drugs, assault, gang activity etc.) I ever had the pleasure of teaching was driving a squad car just a few months after graduation and I will absolutely guarantee that he couldn't pass a drug screen.

I'm trying to figure out if armed robbery is a "minor crime", what is armed going about your own business? If armed robbery is no biggie, why bitch about law-abiding citizens doing armed grocery shopping or armed bowling or armed movie-going?



ETA: It always confounds me when someone from the opposing viewpoint makes my argument for me.
