Of course you are entitled to an opinion, just like he is. Putting words in my mouth isn't going to help your cause and the anger could cause stomach issues so maybe you should chill out a bit.

You came here just to have a go at me, I already gave him MY response, YOU poked your nose in
Im not the one with gut ache

And I've pointed out that your response comes from a foundation of ignorance, mixed with a desire to throw rocks, Lucy.

It's a bad law. Democrats here in the US know this now, hence the attempts to somehow blame it on the Republicans. You might get our news stories, Lucy, but you don't get the kitchen table conversations that trigger them, and you don't have to live with the consequences of what you cheer for.

here is a married couple that is considering getting a divorce cuz they would save thousands on obamacare... (they got married in the first place to get less expensive healthcare thru her employer).. wow.. Is this the extent people have to go to?? [&:]

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1rXIJGawVLk

hmmmm so she lost her job...no insurance...
they havent looked at other pricing yet, before they make their decision,
I wonder what kind of insurance they had that was worth getting married for.
Surely now , if she is unemployed, she will qualify for subsidies.

yes, they said in the vid they would keep looking to see if they have missed something that would allow them to stay married.. but that marriage wasn't a big deal to them so getting divorced is fine if it saves them a lot of money.. I do expect she is looking for a new job tho so who knows what kinda direction that would send them in..

I find the whole obamacare thing extremely confusing.. and stupid imo.. I know a lot of people are against single payer but that (how Canada does it) is a considerably better way to go.. this business of so many plans that you would need a Masters degree to wade thru them is ridiculous and unnecessary imo.. I am for a national health care system but against obamacare due to the politicians leaving the huge profit in the new system.. It will be interesting to see how big the (tax) bill is once its been in place for a while.. given how bad (for Americans) the decisions of US politicians are, I expect it to be a big one..

I do understand people not getting married to save money.. an old friend of my mothers didn't get married cuz then her pension & death benefits (or whatever they are) from her previous dead cheating hubby would have been cut, so she did the sensible thing and moved in with her new boyfriend and rented out her house.. living happily ever after.. but that is very different from having to follow the bouncing ball and having to get married, divorced and possibly married again in an effort to save money.. ugh!

foundation of ignorance LMAO you are fucking kidding me... ??
with all the bullshit and misinformation out there, amongst your fellow americans from their own misinformation spreading, you must be having a laugh.
I havent stated that I think the law is good..so bollocks to that
Throwing rocks back is something I enjoy Rich.
Dont throw em if you cant take em.
Again, The day you stop commenting on things that dont affect you individually, then I will do same.
When your side can take some responsibility, for the state of america..... ANY responsibility, I might actually respect them.
Edited to add quote.

some do in a way, if they have American family or relatives.. they do hear from them of the tribulations, costs, problems, confusion.. they hear of their financial struggles.. so yes, some Canadians do have to indirectly live with the consequences..

It is a mess, and all the misinformation, sheer hatred and ignorance, along with sheer bloody-mindedness sure doesnt help.
And thats just the DEM side

Because I'm psychic, Lucy, what else? It certainly couldn't be the fact that your kitchen table is in another country, could it?

Lucylastic -> RE: He said it would be steak, but ... (11/11/2013 9:24:40 AM)

and you still dont know who I discuss what with, at what time of the day, anywhere, so spare me your self righteous indignation.
Again this is about me, why??

Very much the opposite, Lucy.

What we have here is a bad law, and the Democrats in a scramble to blame anybody but themselves for imposing it on the American people. We also have, despite the very best efforts of the New York Times editorial staff to cover for him, the fact that my President has been quite knowingly lying his ass off about what it was going to do.

They mentioned on the news a few times last week that a record number of people were applying for Medicare to try and by-pass the Obamacare system.

No one can apply for Medicare. You are eligible for Medicare if you are over 65 or disabled.

Don't you get tired of getting caught just making shit up?

Of course he means Medicaid. More people are signing up for Medicaid than the ACA throwing them on the taxpayer taxes rather than on the taxpayer paid premiums again through the ACA, sorry, Obamacare.

Arturas -> RE: He said it would be steak, but ... (11/12/2013 8:57:14 PM)

As long as you have not lost your insurance and/or doctor through this Obamacare fiasco, or are a Dem looking for reelection, you are ok, relatively speaking, and can just settle down and wait until the Dems are destroyed by this and then the GOP who tried to save us from this nonsense through several different efforts will pick up the pieces and move forward with many of their earlier proposals to reduce health care costs and the cost of insurance.

The good thing is Obama has already lost enough power and credibility that he can likely do no more damage to anything except his party and Hillarys chances. I suspect the Clintons are trying to figure out why a Dem candidate would want to run after this mess or how a Dem can distance themselves far enough from Obama to have a chance.

P.S. what is very embarrassing is the last time I heard Obama speak, last week it was, he actually was whining. That shook me up. I did not realize things had gotten this bad that we have a President whining and blaming others so fervently.

Arturas -> RE: He said it would be steak, but ... (11/12/2013 9:05:20 PM)

...and of course the website will be blamed for young people not signing up, as if they will give up their beer money for Obamacare even though they never gave up their beer money for insurance even for their cars, let alone for insurance they likely don't need or care for. So, this whole thing was destined to fail with or without website issues and the GOP was not trying to destroy Obama in all their attempts to sidetrack this fiasco, but to prevent us from having to go through this crazy and ill conceived grande experiment whose purpose was to elevate the Dems and destroy the GOP. Naturally, this eventually came back to roost on the Dem's shoulders and most of us who were against it were against it not because we are racist, (Obama is half white, after all) but because we hate to go through this crisis in the making, with some of us even losing our jobs and doctors losing their practices and hospitals laying off staff right now.
