Oh gee lemme think.
Maybe since I got drafted?
Maybe since women vote for people who decide whether or not I can smoke crack?
Maybe because the I am a natural born citizen of the United States of America?

What a puerile argument.

One, you could be a quadriplegic for all I care you have NO right to tell me what to do with my body. Two, I was born and raised here too buddy and I have the same freedoms as you, so you're no better then me. Three, "crack" was made illegal by a group of people (majority men) and signed into law by Nixon. So, if anything blame men for your inability to do crack. I believe people need to stop pushing their beliefs on other people . For christ's sake we're in a forum for a BDSM site. Most of things people on here like to do are still illegal on the books in most states/countries. You stay out of my business/body and I'll stay away from yours, it's just that simple.

Unfortunately in this case it's just not that simple. With the ability to make life comes responsibilities . These aren't designer handbags that you toss because they've lost their flare.

Loookingforother -> RE: Michigan 'Rape Insurance' Bill Passes Into Law (12/14/2013 4:36:19 AM)

If the fetus cannot survive outside the womb its not a "life" the woman on the other hand is,there are way more dangerous way to get/have an abortion ways that will put the woman at great risk (Castro's ways). Also no one gets an abortion lightly, it's nothing like tossing a hand bag. To me it's more barbaric to force the child to be born into a situation where they will be ill cared or or just plan unloved.

Lucylastic -> RE: Michigan 'Rape Insurance' Bill Passes Into Law (12/14/2013 4:38:04 AM)

but you dont need insurance to make sure you can walk away from a resulting pregnancy after you have had sex.
You dont have people trying to legislate your genitalia .

Loookingforother -> RE: Michigan 'Rape Insurance' Bill Passes Into Law (12/14/2013 4:43:28 AM)

Also who's going to pay for all these unwanted offspring? Next their going to complain about too many people being on welfare that they forced to be.

Personally, I think this is funny as hell!

Here is an interesting situation. The American public is forced by the libs to either purchase insurance they don't want or need or pay a tax. While they are still crowing about how Obummercare is "settled law" and can't be struck down (like oh.... slavery, prohibition, Japanese Relocation, or any of the hundreds of "settled law" cases repealed or overturned on a state level every decade) the rank-and-file libs are faced with a case of government forcing people to purchase insurance they don't need or want. Now the poor little buckaroos want to see a law forcing people to buy insurance they don't want or need to be struck down.

Irony aside... if this does go as far as SCOTUS and is successfully struck down, it could create a precident that could seriously threaten the Unaffordable Care Act that the libs are so enamored with. The legal maneuvering that would strike down the Michigan law could very likely create a roadmap for forcing SCOTUS to declare Obummercare unconstitutional. Quite a pickel the libs have gotten themselves into, isn't it?

-SD-

Insurance for this is not banned. It can be a rider.

Now, since the ACA does not make abortion insurance mandatory, just how would this strike down that law?

I honestly don't know that much about HIPAA, my understanding was that it was a crime for anyone in the health care industries to just hand over your medical records to someone you don't want to have them.

How do employers get to look through any employee's medical records to see what procedures they've had?

ICD - 9 (ICD - 10 wont be implemented till next year) codes go with every procedure or medication. How would they not find out?

You know damned well it's not about a womans body.
It's about the life of a baby (a life which happens to be a temporary inconvenience....)

As far as the ridiculous argument you're making, though... Again, what gave women the right to decide that I needed to be in uniform? What gives you the right to decide that I cannot use my body as a repository for crack cocaine?

Personally, I would love a country in which men voted for people who made laws affecting men, and women voted for laws that affected men. Manland would not have a dimocrat in the bunch.....

Most women dont put elective abortions on their insurance because they dont want it known by their insurance or their employers.

That has nothing to do with the fact that most abortions have nothing to do with the health of the woman (why do people use "mother" there so often?)
Of course, I don't blame them for being ashamed....

truckinslave -> RE: Michigan 'Rape Insurance' Bill Passes Into Law (12/14/2013 9:37:59 AM)

I agree completely.
It's just that murder is everyone's business.

How have I decided to restrict your body.... for crack useage??

Oh its not??? really? having to have insurance for an abortion just in case she gets raped is about a baby? ..who hasnt been born so is a fetus, who isnt "an individual," who resides within a womans body, with all that attends.
You think all women should be greatful to be pregnant? become a slave to society because shehad the misfortune to get pregnant
All men are on the right and all women on the left?
when you come to reality and truth, you are going to be fucking shocked...please send pics...or whatever they have in twenty years

I would love to see a law forbidding abortion (except to save the life of the woman) from 23 weeks on.....

And what was that figure that was 100% of abortions?
you simply do not have the capacity to be truthful.

truckinslave -> RE: Michigan 'Rape Insurance' Bill Passes Into Law (12/14/2013 9:41:18 AM)

Might as well kill people on welfare too then.

And 'most' matters how? Most men don't get prostate cancer, is your argument that there should be no public funding for prevention or treatment?

Which makes your whole argument moot.

Elective abortions are not being paid for by insurance.

Which means only necessary abortions are being paid for by insurance companies.

The whole thing gives me hope, of course. Forcing anyone to pay a third party to kill a baby is just beyond barbaric.

Making the above statement by you utter nonsense.

60% of the Fortune 500 companies with over 1000 employees have self-funded insurance.

You do the math.
