Well, your declared favorite geopee-gub`ner tried and failed, with a cover-up.

Christie?

Oh hell no. But this is a smart move by the dims. Of course the investigator appointed is a DNC contributor. The hell with the appearance of impartiality.

The dims are certainly not tarring my candidate. But they are tarring the most centrist Rino.
Good move for them.

I personally expect hillary to keep low profile till after 2014. She doesn't want to be associated in any way with the trashing that's going to occur.

She will judiciously support a few candidates guaranteed to win. She will quietly sabotage a few enemies.
Unless things start to look good for the dims - in which case she'll jump on the bandwagon.

She's cautious.

Your past gushing over him belies your present embarrassment with him.[;)]

He`s no longer the geopee`s #1 pick........which means I guess.......the official beginning of the next GOP-primary/train-wreck....

Shameful...

"On Sept. 9, the first day of the traffic paralysis, EMS crews took seven to nine minutes to arrive at the scene of a vehicle accident where four people were injured, when the response time should have been less than four minutes, he wrote. It also took EMS seven minutes to reach an unconscious 91-year-old woman who later died of cardiac arrest at a hospital. Although he did not say her death was directly caused by the delays, Favia noted that “paramedics were delayed due to heavy traffic on Fort Lee Road and had to meet the ambulance en-route to the hospital instead of on the scene.” Emergency responders also were late in getting to a third medical emergency that first morning of the lane closures. It took Favia nearly an hour to arrive at a building where a person was experiencing chest pains “due to standstill traffic on Route 46 East. The Mutual Aid ambulance coming from Palisades Park and paramedics coming out of Leonia were also delayed due to the excessive traffic,” he wrote. - See more at: http://www.northjersey.com/fortlee/GWB_lane_closures_delayed_EMS_response_in_Fort_Lee.html#sthash.27oUQClC.dpuf

On a happier note,Christie leads the NRGA and one of is top brown-shirts who`s involved, is also a member of the NRGA leadership.....

Those jobs are toast.

Not only do the republicans need a new rock-star,they need new leadership at the national Republican Governor`s Association.....[;)]

Christie's all done, not because of this but because he signed into law tuition for ILLEGAL ALIENS!
I'd vote for Hillary Clinton before I'd vote for that Joe Bagga Donuts!
And I HATE her polictis!
Imagine having a threesome with her and one of her girlfriends; "c'mon Hill, get that tongue into them nuts!"
Hit Nancy hard with that strapon!"
BILL! Don't stand the fuck behind me!"

Phydeaux -> RE: Bridge"gate" (1/10/2014 2:44:06 AM)

Once again: flat out lie. Quote me.

My only comment on Christie was in reponse to DSBound who presented about 9 candidates. I said the only creditable candidates in her list were Christie and Rubio.

Not my candidate. Never has been. Never would be. Amazing how free dims are to flat out lie.

Gov. Christi is still the GOP's best shot at 2016. This issue with the bridge will wash over and six months from now, no one except the real losers within the GOP/TP will think anything of it. Its like Benghazi for Hillary. No one will care about it, since there will be more pressing issues at that time. Besides which, the guy apologized. I do not see any real evidence he had any direction involvement in the whole thing, so I'm willing to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. At the end of the day, the ability to forgive another shows much about the person. Without doubt, most conservatives and libertarians will remain hateful, ignorant, and unforgiving of the Governor. All that negative karma, added to their already in-debt karma status will result in the Democrat winning the White House.

Only if he wins the primary, which is a long shot at best. No, don;t ask me who will be a more likely nominee.

Hillary is the odds-on presumptive 2016 Demoncrap nominee.

FLASHBACK: Hillary Clinton Fired From Watergate Investigation For ‘Lying, Unethical Behavior’

And her deceit, dishonesty, lying, conspiracy to violate the Constitution, dereliction of duty/malfeasance in office, outright treason, arrogant obfuscation of responsibility and contempt for and retaliation against those who take her to task gets worse from there.

"BridgeGate" pales in comparison.

cloudboy -> RE: Bridge"gate" (1/10/2014 9:02:08 AM)

I think bridge gate will be some uncomfortable baggage for him. It shows a kind of demented mindset. There is still no proof of his direct involvement. Those closer to the debacle have been fired.

power corrupts.. the more power, the more corrupt.. bridgegate may pale in comparison right now, but give him the whole country to screw with and see what that does (meaning what he does to ya'll).. [8|]

eta- I dislike all the politicians on both sides.. I am no fan of Hillary either but ya'll are screwed no matter who wins the next election anyway..

Except of course the entire article is bullshit.

The Senate makes the rules for impeachment trials not the House and HRC was working for the House impeachment committee.

Isn`t it the cover-up..... that always dooms the douche bags?

No one cared about a 3rd rate burglary at the Watergate.....it was the cover up that caused what tricky`s lawyer called "a cancer on the presidency"

It was the cover-up that landed the vice-treasonist`s COS a felony conviction....

"According to the WSJ story, that phone call was the week of December 12.
Yeah. Kind of makes Christies little press "performance piece" this morning look like the firehouse of lies that it actually was.

Among the mounting stream of evidence that shows Christie knew damn well what was going on, this one would seem to be the final nail in the coffin.

And it's very easily proven ... if Governor Cuomo has the backbone to be a proper partisan and put his boot on Christie's neck.

He doesn't have to do it personally. Heck, the WSJ would be HAPPY to report the facts if they just got the nod ...
they're the ones with the connections to "a person familiar with the matter,"
which by the sound of it has to be someone in Cuomo's office anyway."

Are you really naive enough to believe he was as ignorant as he claims?

SadistDave -> RE: Bridge"gate" (1/10/2014 9:00:45 PM)

I gotta say... I really don't give a rats ass that a couple of lanes of traffic were shut down anywhere. When libs and the media start dealing with the actual crimes and unConstitutional acts of the Obama administration with the same zeal they are pursuing this I might give a fuck.

Christie shut down a fucking bridge and people were inconvenienced. It's not like Bengazi where an ambassador and 4 other men died and the administration tried to cover it upo from the start. It's not like the 4900 innocent civilians killed by Obama drone strikes. It's not like the Obama administrations criminal negligence that cost America 2 million jobs in 2013. It's not like refusing to uphold laws.

This is a distraction issue for the media to keep idiot libs focused on those mean old Republicans.

So it's OK because the 91 year old woman who died wasn't an American, or because she wasn't a man? Please clarify.

Ah no, its because you've got no evidence linking christie to the port authority. Even if you had, her death was an accidental by product of an abuse of power.

Benghazi was an abuse of power that directly led to the death of 4 americans (and others), that can be laid directly on failures of Hillary Clinton's state department.

On top of incompetence, malfeasance, and lying.

But the biggest reason it won't matter:

The election is going to come down to healthcare. Hillary (as the proponent of hillary care) once already can't possibly claim to be against obamacare.

Obama will pretty much be a disaster by the time the election rolls around.
And it will sink hillary just as much as it will obama's legacy.

The woman was unconcious. Paramedics arrived at her home. She didn't die at her home.

The paramedics, for some reason, decided to transport her without an ambulance. She wasn't dead at this point. According to the reports, they transfered her to one en-route. She didn't die during the transfer and she didn't die en-route to the hospital after the transfer.

She died of cardiac arrest at the hospital.

According to the timelines I've seen and the reports, the real story here seems to be that the paranmedics and the ambulance crew that gave her care on the way to the hospital were incompetent. They are allegedly trained to handle little things like heart attacks.

OR

She was just a 91 year old woman who would have died anyway. She was already in the care of medical professionals BEFORE the heart attack that killed her. If they were actually doing their job, then she was being cared for on the way to the hospital where she died. In theory, the hospital was equiped to give her proper treatment. Except for one little thing. Her husband had died 5 years earlier and she lived alone. There is a very good possibility that she just didn't have the will to fight anymore. That just happens with old people sometimes.

An abuse of power? A tragic event definitely. A serious failing of the State Dept. bureaucracy probably but an abuse of power? Ridiculous.

That's hilarious. By November 2014 the ACA will be a non issue except in far right fever dreams. By 2016 the Republicans will be falling all over themselves trying to claim it as theirs.
