I did, but I'm blanking on what it showed.

Didn't it, though!! Green stepped in it and I think Bates figured or is figuring it out! What about Mrs Hughes? I thought Edith would change her mind at the last minute.

I'm a little disappointed Tom has lost his political passion.

I thought it was hilarious that Lady Grantham is stuck being nice to Lady Isobel!!

I agree about Bates. I just hope he doesn't get himself in hot water.

And Mrs. H. definitely knows the score!

Lady Grantham's need to be nice made me chuckle too. Then again, I think both Violet and Isobel are closer than either realizes. There's a certain odd intimacy to being sparring partners.

And who would have thought Mary would actually get her hands dirty? And how did she learn to scramble eggs?

That must be the one meal they teach upper-crust kids to make! It was the only thing Eleanor Roosevelt could cook either.

Any theories as to what's going on between Thomas and Baxter?

Baxter owes her position to Thomas. I think she had some difficulty in the past and now she owes him.

There's only 2 episodes left in the season. :-(

I don't know why they only have 8 episodes for this season.

I AM looking forward to Mr. Selfridge and Call The Midwife. Both are starting in March.

I haven't watched it but my mom says she is addicted to this show. We went out and she told me all about it and told me that the last show ended with her husband figuring out who attacked his wife. Sounds interesting.

I'm a bit irritated with Lady Mary. That she had to "owe" something before she would watch out for her own rather irritates me. What's right is right, and that should have been disposed of because it was the right thing. (even if it wasn't legal.)

All Mary would have had to do was think of WHY Bates might have been in London and all that hand-wringing would have been unnecessary. I love that things are looking up for Moseley (and Baxter!).

Wasn't Mr. Levinson both irritating and pitiful? I think Paul Giamatti is falling for the young woman he picnicked with! Won't it be interesting if his loud American self comes back to Downton?

Isn't it neat Lady Crawley might be getting a beau??

Why? Her character is almost devoid of personality. She goes around being fragrant and smiling warmly and lovingly at family and servants alike, and doing almost sod all else. It must be really tedious to play that part. Shame, really: Elizabeth McGovern is quite good and I've always liked her - she could do a lot more than that.

Hlen, yes!!!! Lol he looked like he was going to have a heart attack lol.
The nerve of that American valet!! Lol

Peon, I love her sarcastic sayings. The friendship between her and Lady Crawley is awesome!
They compliment each other. Lol (in a weird way)

Oh hang on, you're talking about the character played by Maggie Smith, aren't you? The dowager duchess? Yes - she's great. And she does indeed work well with Mrs Crawley. Maggie Smith always plays the same role and is always brilliant at it.
