I just downloaded "Doctor Sleep" by Stephen King to my iPad. Saw it posted here a few days back. This thread is awesome!

I just bought that a few weeks ago. Not, it wasn't on a kindle or any other reader (sorry, I still believe in actually having the book in My lap) I have 3 I haven't read yet. Still working on the "Wheel of Time" anthology.

I was just like you. Then my son forced my hand, and bought me a kindle a few years ago.
Well. When I moved, the sheer volume of books I had to either move, sell, or give away was enough to make me a complete convert.

There is only one bookstore within a 25 mi radius. Part of what I love about books was the bookstores, and browsing, reading and bringing them home. If I have to shop online, I'd rather have instant gratification.

You know... I may just feel that way once the Army stops moving all My shit for me. I know someone who does want one, so maybe that will convert Me.

It helps if you get the cover that you can hold like a book. Alone it just felt...awkward

My Kindle keyboard came with a red cover...I keep it next to the computer when I feel the need to get some ebooks.

I've got a foldable leather cover for my Samsung tablet. Wanted a bit more than a reader. So while MM is at the hospital with the laptop, I've got this at home to read and use as a sorta laptop. Also got the keyboard for it. Now to figure out how it all works.

The Hunger Games Trilogy. I will pick up one, open the book anywhere and start reading.

I still have too many books at home. Have to pare down again, keep only the collections I want. Which is why I love my tablet. Not that it keeps me out of book stores dammit!!
