I wasn't really going to post on these forums but I have to comment this since I see it on many profiles here.

Why are people so damn serious about being "serious?"
Now I myself have only PM:ed very few people here but if someones just out for a chat then why not?

Why are you annoyed with that?
If you meet someone in real life or on almost any other type of site that's how you go about it. A couple or sentences and then you work from that.

Imagine if you will that everywhere you go you are hounded by guys looking to have sex with you and who obviously view you solely as a method by which they can get sexual gratification. Imagine that you face this in your real life and online. Imagine that if you wanted emotionless sex with a stranger you could literally find 20 guys within a few minutes drive who would be at your place or let you come over to theirs within moments of you contacting them. Now imagine that you want more. Imagine you want love and a deep connection with someone who views you as a person instead of (to be crude) as a warm wet hole (and they are flexible on the wet) and in order to find that person you have to be constantly bombarded with messages from guys who ignore your profile, ignore your desires, and instead attempt to use you as a vehicle for their sexual gratification.

Why would Dommes, who face that exact situation, not become annoyed and jaded by the situation? Anyone who had to deal with that would have zero time for guys who are like that, let alone one who only wants to play online and have them type out some fantasy. If all you are looking for is sexual gratification then there are a wide variety of sources for you to get it. Unfortunately you will need to pay for it from 99% of them.

Try understanding women as people if you want an answer to your question.

Try to understand women as people? Excuse me, where did my post give the impression that I do not?
This site in particular has some 3:1-2:1 tilt in men vs women at least for the European countries that I have been checking out. Now I am sure that if you give off pleasant first impressions through your profile that once you make your account a bunch of people will PM you. But it should also slow down after some time, no?

Besides someone looking for a simple screw would probably look in a bar, party or one of those sites made for that. *g*
Now fine, if you're looking for that special someone you might not want to be bothered by various ordinary chat/friendship requests but some people seem here too uptight.

Most people probably read other peoples profiles and just find it easier to engage in a casual conversation to begin the potential relationship than some love letter to a random person.

I say most because, yup, I laughed out loud when it comes to some of the messages people are sending each other that are listed in an other thread here!

PS: This and the previous post aren't really directed to dominant women only but everyone. I just happened to see it in the "newest post" thingy here.

PPS: If you really want to avoid a lot of Spam do as I do! Have no picture or no personal picture. It will probably take *a lot* longer but you won't have to flip through all the type of people you mention if that's not your thing.

We all have lives.. that require a bit of time and chatting for friendship all while very wonderful, doesn't mean we always have time to be good friends with people because life keeps us pretty busy. To go to either extreme of thinking why don't they talk even if it wont' amount to what they seek or thinking they won't ever... is extreme. Most fit somewhere in the middle.

Still, to expect something because you think it is a good thing, doesn't mean all others will agree. I have found it better to talk to people more suitable to my age and what I like in life and most men seem to want to take that friends with benny's thing right from... that chat. Jaded or realistic? Few men really want to be our friend, without bennys. Some are... but they are few and far between. Online... it amounts to mostly one thing.

A friend of mine once made a female profile just for 3 days, as he didn't believe all the cock shots and hook up requests were true, I think without even a profile, just signing up as a female he got a ton of messages in the first few minutes, he deleted his profile fairly soon, because his eyes couldn't deal with gaping assholes or cock shots... Welcome to being a woman....

That's fine and all. It's just that some people have more rules for contacting them on their profiles than text which I find ridiculous.
Because look, if someone isn't going to read your profile they won't read your rules neither.

Also the longer it is the less chance that the type of person whom you do not want doesn't read it. Balance tilting towards brevity is probably best(?).

i don't have rules, I just request that people read my profile as it might save us both time and effort, guess what, very few do, the ones that do tend to be quite interesting to chat with.

As for making a female profile, upon your head and retina be it, he used to call me a lot and squeal.... I told him to not open the mails that have attachment and the can feature before opening, not sure if he will ever be the same...

Heh Rawni that profile isn't too large but I took a look at your journal and oh boy.
Have you checked how the journal system works on this, a bit old site?

There's no "First entry" button that I can see (my bad if there is). Instead a would be lover would have to press the next button plenty of times and you being quite an active writer judging from the last two pages of the journal would probably mean few would bother.

Now I could try to go for proximity guessing through the link but I'm not sure most even know about that...

Well I'm sure there are a few of those but they are probably in it for the voyeur and won't care.
Maybe I should abstain from that profile thing. It's probably worse here than in other vanilla places.

None of my lady-friends have mentioned such things, heh.
Then again...Maybe that's not what they talk about when they talk about their dates.

I'm sorry, I'm sure it can be a hassle for a beautiful woman, especially the first few days.
I just don't think that all of this really helps.

And besides, people just asking for a casual chat and explaining their feelings in short paragraphs without any attachments aren't really the problem then?

Actually they aren't, things also slow down after a while (so after a couple of years only about once a day such shots and you recognize SNs that are likely to send them and you don't open mails from unknown names with attachments), the problems are guys wanting <insert list> and you tell them politely it doesn't mesh, you aren't looking, you're there for the forums, then in 5 out of 10 cases you get called names, 1 case will let it rest, 4 will try to argue that whatever you say doesn't matter, you should give them a chance...

There is an easy solution though, preview, delete, only open mails from names you know....

I mean CMails, and you can actually go with the mouse over the mail, it will give you the first few lines of the mail, so if there is a long list of what you can do to the guy (all for your pleasure of course, the whole laundry list), you just click the delete button, you are twice as careful if the preview shows there is a pic attached (what they eye has seen can never been unseen, trust me, piles are not attractive), so you open the few that are left that actually look like the person has something to say and it appears that he doesn't look for a fetish delivery system.

But before you figure that out, you possibly get called every name under the sun and quite a few that increase your vocabulary...

If your messages are much like your messages here it shouldn't come as a surprise that you don't get many responses. You aren't entitled to a response because you contact a woman. You aren't entitled to cyber sex because you are on a kink themed website. You aren't entitled to demand other people meet your needs. You should maybe consider why you are taking rejection so personally and what your method of handling it says about you.
