TieMeInKnottss -> RE: Why are you a findom or why do you seek one? (2/8/2014 3:42:00 PM)

I read another article he wrote about posing as a female Dom (I won't put the name of the profile...not sure if it is blacklisting when the person admits that it is a fake profile)....

Don't know why but most of his research is done from this site ( including how to find someone to impersonate and copy photos from the Collarme profile....granted he claims it is a tutorial on how EASY it is to have your profile copied...)

LOL... smart kid. Seems to have this gig totally covered.

The page has now totally changed since I refreshed it and the article appears gone. [:(] Did someone save it? [:D]

Why are you targeting me? All I did was try and contribute to your debate.

This might be why so many people hold such a low opinion of this site nowadays.

I'm not sure that you're getting all that hard a time. Especially as it does rather seem as if you've contributed to the influx of wannabe pro- and fin- dommes.

Hmm... Well, I'm sure I'd have to defer to your greater experience of online communities, but as a general rule I had thought that whining wasn't the best way to participate.

Question for findoms and those who like to be findominated(that can't be an actual phrase people use, right?) As a psych major, I can understand the appeal of humilation, pain etc. but I just can't seem to understand why someone would want a fin dom. Fin doms, sure you get a lot of new shit, but is there anything more you get out of it? Power? Regardless I can some what see why someone would get into being a fin dom. I guess the real question is for the people who seek out fin doms. What do YOU gain? Really, why not just choose to be dominated in other aspects I guess is the question. I once heard a story about some guy who lost his life savings at a Casino and proceeded to have the best orgasm of his life. Am I close? That seems like an extreme case though so that seems unlikely. Very interested to read the responses.

Note: not trying to be disrespectful with this post. I'm genuinely curious.

It's extremely rare to see subs chime in about what they like financial domination (not my thing). 99% plus of the posts in praise of financial domination are from the findommes who profit from it

I don't know why people complain about findommes so much.  IF people were not buying into it (literally), the market would dry up and guys that profit from creating fictitious females, or encourage females to take up the "profession" would find another market to exploit.
As this is primarily a male sub driven market and it appears to be growing, then obviously people ARE using the services of online or findomination.
Until guys stop paying it will continue to grow.
Up close and personal domination is still a necessary need for those people who want the touch but are unwilling to do the work of a relationship to get their needs met.

Thanks TieMeInKnottss, it didn't take me long to find it and look at the profile of him as a Fin Domme here on CM. I also looked at the full page of 'Collarme- From a Female’s Perspective' where he puts up messages, names and pictures as well as pictures of people who have looked at his fin Domme profile.

Because I was interested to know who you are!

This case got some news coverage:

I'm playing around this morning searching for a state by state list, so far no joy.

kalikshama -> RE: Why are you a findom or why do you seek one? (2/9/2014 10:24:04 AM)

Your first example says that 1. the law in MA is unclear because "sexual conduct" is not defined in the prostitution statute and 2. in New York there's a case which held explicitly that “sado-masochistic acts such as foot licking, spanking, domination and submission do not appear to fit within category of “sexual conduct” referred to in prostitution statute.”

In your Illinois example, "since the arrest police have dropped all charges."

None of the examples are about Fin Dom.

Because many guys want a free fetish delivery system. So if they can't find a women to dominate them or fulfill their fetish with no emotional connection they blame the girls who are getting paid to do it. Ex, "If there weren't so many damn fin dommes around I could find a woman to make me eat my own cum and tell me how pathetic I am over cam for free."

where he puts up messages, names and pictures as well as pictures of people who have looked at his fin Domme profile.

Does anyone know if that activity is now illegal under the new Revenge Porn laws? It intrigues me. Man sends self-shot to a findom profile, for "her" personal use, and mutual arousal. "She" then posts the photo on the internet, even though he intended it as private to "her." It is different from the law's original intent, where a woman sends a boyfriend sexy pics, and he gets back at her by posting them online. But if the laws are written in a gender-blind way, maybe it's the same situation. I don't know.

MariaB -> RE: Why are you a findom or why do you seek one? (2/10/2014 1:21:50 AM)

I think what you suggested is illegal but that's not what this guy is doing. He posted pictures of people who looked at him and their pictures aren't private.

To be honest, his site is a great way to get attention (or so he hoped) from young nubile Dommes. I doubt anything he's doing is illegal, just annoying.

GoddessManko -> RE: Why are you a findom or why do you seek one? (2/10/2014 3:30:36 AM)

Wow MariaB, thanks for that.
"When you are choosing your nickname try and choose something people may search for, at least partly. Something like PrincessRachael4, assuming your name is Rachael of course. Very few people will search for Rachael but many will for Princess. I am not sure if this will be very beneficial but it can’t harm you."

Lmao ew....that explains the princess buttercups who tend to reside in the tackiest of surrroundings.
LOL no wonder I intimidate some of these boys with a name that is japanese for cunt.

I know this is going astray but its still worth a mention.

I was interested to know why we have had such a huge influx of Fin Dommes over the past six months. It didn't take me long to find out why. I just typed into google, how do I set up as a fin Domme?

Interestingly this site which went up in June last year http://www.online-slavery.com/financial-domination-guide/ suggests if you want to be a fin Domme to join CollarMe. The entire page is about Collar Me and how to make a living from it. It tells you how to set up a profile, what to call yourself, what to say to pull a punter and how to stay online 24/7 refreshing your profile as often as possible!!

I took a look on 'Whois' and the site is owned in the UK.

Great posting!

I want to thank Maria as well. That was interesting. I won't get into my opinions of it all though. I am just glad that the blatant stuff is being dealt with here at CM and things have toned down. I've always believed that if you want to know the heartbeat of this site, read the journal page. There you will see a vast display of what is really going on here. Boy, have there been some major changes lately! The kink is allowed, but the blatant abuse of it all has toned down considerably. Kudo's to those accomplishing this massive feat!

What concerns me about all of this is that sense of entitlement that I know holds some effect in the lives of those doing so little to get so much. I remember when a man posted in Mistress about his best friends younger daughter. She was eighteen at the time. Somehow he got involved with her only in the capacity of giving her things she wanted and she was very demanding. As a parent, of even an adult, being a young adult, I believe this manifests in a way I wouldn't want my adult child to be involved in because of the long term effects. I remember my response to his post/thread was as a parent and what was worse was this was his best friends daughter.

If we are handed everything in life, that has an effect upon us. I worked hard at teaching my children to work hard, to know the blessings of hard work and accomplishment and that sense of knowing YOU did that. To have the opposite effect would be damaging in my opinion. Frankly, this concerns me, that so many are caught up in it. Even with that training and upbringing, the fast and easy money became a focus for them. What would it be like without that?

Though I may think things are okay to do, I think of the long term effects and I know many that were dancers or in the adult industry and the long term effects were not great. Their personal lives were most often disastrous. I looked into this recently trying to keep updated on this type of thing and though I found many saying they got their education paid for and they were fine... there were many that were not doing well and were sorry they did what they did as it opened doors in their lives they felt they should have kept shut.

I would feel more comfortable if the balance was taught as well as how to do it. You can do it, but this is what could come of it if you do. Whether it will or not is up to how you do with it all, but few bring that part up.

After spending a great deal of my adult life working with a lot of women and younger ladies in crisis... knowing what they do early on that brings them to others that did what I did and professionals if they can afford them... I would rather see the balance so they really know what they are getting into, than to have to try to undo some of the harm.

I know I was pretty quick about life when I was young... but I still messed up and did things I later had to deal with. So for me, some of this is sad to watch.

MissImmortalPain -> RE: Why are you a findom or why do you seek one? (2/10/2014 6:41:30 AM)

Are you sure you are intimidating them or just confusing them? They may be taking it the wrong way because to anyone that speaks Japanese they would assume you are insulting yourself. Manko is not really the Japanese word for cunt it is a vulgar way of saying pussy/vagina, normally said omanko. Though short of any knowledge of the Japanese language the author would most likely enjoy your name as "goddess" is a great deal like "princess", "queen", "baby girl" He is just suggesting people use atypical names that a man might think of when he thinks about porn.

ChatteParfaitt -> RE: Why are you a findom or why do you seek one? (2/10/2014 6:48:45 AM)

I assumed a fin domme has some physical contact with her clients. (I did mention that I didn't think the law applied to online interactions.)

If you 'domme' for money it is illegal in many states, sometimes under the prostitution law, sometimes under 'lewd acts.'

From what I read on the net, it's legal in the UK, illegal in Canada although that law has been challenged, as it was in the Illinois case.

Again, the legality varies state to state. The article I quoted strongly suggests anyone pursuing this way of making money learn about their state's law.

Also, I seriously doubt the police care about such nuances as fin or pro domme.

Here in the states, some laws are being rewritten to include pros dommes in what is illegal, while others have been rewritten to exclude pro domme activities.
