Now that I have the time to make a proper post to the OP...

If an activity enjoyed by others creeps you out, it's ok. It doesn't make you judgmental. If, because you find the activity distasteful, you decide the person is distasteful, that would be judgmental.

We all have things that make us part of the ewwwwwwwwwww crew. Watersports, scat, rainbow showers, all bring the ewwwwwww out to me. But if you like 'em, go ahead. I still think you're a pretty cool chick.

At least what I had to say was addressing Pete's opening post, it was not what self proclaimed monkey girl said, it was about not even acknowledging jali's OP at all but instead took the opportunity to act like a silly little girl and I think it was offensive, tacky and insenitive to jali.

You should take the time to look at MistressDread's post about leaving, you may get a clue about the frustration people who have been around for years feel about CM and how it is becoming a playground for halfass wannbes who find topic's such as women's weight, the taste of cum, their animals, national news headlines, and that threads are no more about having intelligent conversations about WIITWD and kink and if there is a serious thread going on it is rudely interupted with assinine chat room banter.
I haven't encounter an interesting, meaningful thread about this lifestyle in a long time it's come down to critiqing people's profile pic's for christ sake

I have watched Collar Me go from a very informative forum with a lot of knowledgable people from the lifestyle conversing to a chit chat circus. Most people here now having very little real life experience as is shown in the threads conversations and just want to come here to derive some titliation by reading about kink but not living it.
When I first came here people were very serious in their discussion about BDSM and their kink I learned a lot from them. Now it's rare that I find any informative, intellectual threads going on.
All of the people who have really vast knowledge about WIITWD are gone and it's very clear to me why.
And as soon as I accuire my last paddle and reach 2000(just because I want to) I will not be coming in to the forum very often anymore either, I never liked chat rooms and this is what CM is becoming and I find it really sad that it's a free site for the BDSM community and people who LIVE it. I also feel bad for the people who work hard to keep it all together and up and running, but are becoming nothing more than babysitter's for wannabes that are bored at work.
Pretty fucking sickning and I see it frustrating a lot of the old crowd, the ones that remain anyway and they probably will not stick around much longer either.
Then ya'all can turn it into a huge meaningless chat room "Scene"

I was just looking around some old threads today, and I found the changing lightbulbs thread. Would your spot be brighter again if we changed your bulb?

But seriously, your post was on the same level as many a new poster who pops in and condemns us all with one fell swoop, especially considering it did not address the OP at all, as you have condemned others for not doing.

As Rick Dees said on the radio when he was retiring "After me, the Darkness." You know, I still enjoy listening to the radio in the mornings on my way to work, even if Rick Dees is no longer on the air.

Howard Stern has reached new nadirs of boring twaddle since he went to Satellite Radio. Now the only thing he has to talk about for hours on end is how cool he is, and how much normal radio sucks.

I wish all of you leaving success in your endeavours regardless of the grade school manner you decided to use to say goodbye. You may be missed, but it may not be for the reasons you think.

Personally, I think you and Dread should have teamed up on your 'We're leaving because you wannabe's invaded our territory' threads.... talk about a "circus".

It's a shame that some 'old school lifestylers' would leave just because we "wannabes" may not think or act like you. Perhaps next time, put a 'No trespassing' sign on the clubhouse door.

I'll take chatroom banter over senseless name calling anytime.

I haven't been using the CM site for a terribly long time, though have used other sites for years.... I have read and participated in some interesting, intelligent and informative threads here.

I don't find that I'm impressed by the amount of years someone has been *around*......especially if they seem to have repeated their first year many times over.

It's edifying to have a serious discussion about aspects of bdsm but some lightheartedness has it's benefit too.

There's never been a lack of people declaring their *swansong* either, in the process making sweeping generalisations about others, their experience, lack of it or their *wannabe* status.

Sometimes it's possible to miss the *not so strident* voices of calm and patient people with experience, when making a lot of noise yourself.

I am an opinionated git (As if folks here haven't worked that out by now) if I don't like something I have no hesitation in saying so. AB's, Pro-Dommes, brats ... not my bag baby and if asked will happily share the negative opinion I have of the practises.... however, that doesn't equate to treating the people any diffrent, so long as they do what they do 'over there' away from me. If they wish to take offence personaly about my opinion of the practice in general, thats their problem. If thats being 'judgemental' then fine. Really don't care.

Now, to Brightspot:
Petal, I've seen this happen in many diffrent forums over the years. In a few years time, folks just arriving now will be throwing their toys out of the pram and leaving because 'its changed and not like the "Good old days"'. Big deal, thats the way of forums, not just this one. You AIN'T special, CM doesn't revolve around you.... and I don't mean that nastily. People come, people go, the site changes and evolves. You leave just changes it a bit more, some will miss you, most won't care, the site goes on. The conversations are still there. Maybe not as often as you maybe used to in the past, but they are there.

Length of time here doesn't mean squat, some folks post great controbutions on their very first post, others have thousands of posts and its been mostly crap. The ONLY diffrence is some who have been here a while are looked for because of what they post, new folks it is a pleasent surprize when you find a great post... the reaction to those posts is the same.... and so is their 'value' to the forum.

Eventualy I too will leave, eventualy I'll move on or get too busy. When I do there will be not toys thrown out of prams, no fanfair, no drama... just maybe a few folks who realise I'm not around any more, but like with yourself, most won't give a damn and nor should they.

Nope, I haven't been here nearly as long as you...but I have been here long enough to remember the faces and names of many of those you refer to. I miss them too. But the fact is that this site has grown in numbers profoundly. It has done alot of changing...in some ways good..and in some ways not so good. Yes, it might take a little more searching to find the pearls of wisdom....but they ARE there. I know that there are days when collarme can be a frustrating place. But if I pack up all my marbles and go home I am only assured one thing....I then have absolutely no chance of ever finding those pearls.

I'm not sure why every word written on these boards has to be dripping with wisdom for some to be happy. Granted, I always appreciate it when I find something profound. But the light hearted banter serves a purpose too. Sometimes it is the very thing that keeps me from falling over into that dark abyss of bitterness that seems to be engulfing you. I would also like to say that I think that you are condeming people for things that you yourself have engaged in. You are upset that people talk about things other than lifestyle issues....the news, their animals...... Was it not you that recently went on a tirade about alligators? To be honest, in recent days I have not seen much in your posts about lifestyle issues...but I have noticed a huge increase in lashing out in acid bitterness. I don't know what the answer is for you...but I do hope that you find it.

okay..i have had several cups of joe..and i still dont understand the problem..this is called "Collarchat"..everyone is doing that..what they are here for is to share ideas..ok..sometimes it's venting..but it's all good..
thick skinned /thin skinned..thoughtful/and thoughtfully insensitive..we are all here to chat or read ..and we all learn from these posts..some quicker than others..
