I really could have done without knowing that. Now every time I see people donating kittens or puppies in front of the grocery store, I'll have to warn them!

Seriously, I don't believe pythons should be pets.

Hate pythons.
I am kinda fond of trouser snakes, though.

Two out of three of those are correct. Snakes do not care about their owners one whit. They lack the ability to do so because of their tiny little brains not being wired to do so. Of course, I am biased, as I don't like snakes. I'll tolerate them for pest control, but other than that, they're creatures to be avoided.

Ack! Nooooooo thank you!

Most domestic pets at least originally served a purpose. Dogs guarded and cats killed mice.

Pythons are being released into the wilds of Florida when their owners become bored and or can't keep them fed. They are becoming a major problem. There are hunting seasons for them now in Florida. They shouldn't have been brought in to begin with.

that's true bout Florida, but most domesticated fauna shouldn't be released into the wilds where the didn't come from.Just take a look at Australia(wild dog packs, ect.)

HAha,I've had a few very sweet snakes.it's true that their brain doesn't work quiet the same, but that doesn't mean they are incapable of being social.
Had a small rosy once that I would leave around the house,un caged, the cats didn't bother it and it would seek me out occasionally for attention.but that's rosy boas for you,a very sweet docile snake, picked one up outta the wild once and pulled a cactus thorn from it's face..a wild one.....was completely docile and even leaned in a bit when I gave it stritches.

Then again I even had a pet scorpion that got along with me.it would always crawl to my hand and rest on one of my fingers like a ring,so I named it finger.brought it to school all the time and kids would ask if it was real,so I'd pick it up by the tail and with with squirm round till I put it back on my hand, and it would then take it's place on my finger and stay there.I've picked up countless scorpions of the same species and while they don't sting me,non are as receptive as that one.

So yeah, screw your point of view on the creepy crawlies
they got hearts too, they just beat differently lol

ps,the link is just a piece of fluff bout rosys, but it's got a cute pic of a rosy and a cat,and I didn't wanna bother downloading, uploading and image just to post here

Thanks, good thinking, I just don't have any boxes that I can close and going to the vet, I have to cross 2 main roads, I don't want the bunny being squished under a car.... I thought the cat carriers would be ideal for transport, I don't really want something that gnaws a lot in one of my handbags (where it will possibly poo and pee), but I didn't think about the cat smell... I could use a waste paper basket and just put a cover over it.... Tie some cloth over it?

Maybe a feather pillow? You already know how to clean that up....

It could well be an aggressive rabbit that wants to intrude then rob your house, Lady C. Evaluate the situation carefully, give it three clear warnings, then blow its brains out.

Rabbit was brought to the vet yesterday, after much rummaging around, I found a plastic storage box with a lid, put old papers and a towel in, punctured holes into the lid (I have no idea how much air a rabbit needs and didn't want to take risks), 2 pissed off cats watching, Dobie girl not being pleased about her puppy taken away, tried to distract her with toys, a chewie, nothing worked, so I figured cats caused this, cats should suffer, carried the cat to her bed and told her kitty needs a clean, while she slobbered over the cat and washed it, I legged it out of the house and went to the vet.

I didn't know they have miniature breeds of all different colours and what not in rabbits, we had one a few years ago (also brought in by the cats) who was white with brown ears, muzzle and feet, that was easy to identify as domestic, but this on was just brown...

I'm thinking there might be a market for secure rabbit cages in the area... Or I can rent out the Dobie girl as a surrogate mom to rabbits, there's one dog who's lacking all hunting instinct...

First, the only things I know about rabbits involve skinning, tanning, cooking and eating. You know the basic necessities.

Pythons are cowboy boots in their unrefined state, as is rattle snakes, and other no shoulder critters, although rattle snake is pretty good breaded and deep fried.

Now, what else is there to know?

Don't know if you'd wanna deep fry it, normally a small smudge of butter or oil will do

I also hear wolves make great coats
