Which reminds me of when I first met The Man. Shortly after we started this relationship he asked me for a table dance. I said I was sure I would fall off it. He couldn't stop laughing.

I need a drink!! My poor nephew had to be rushed to the ER because he couldn't breathe :-(. He is doing much better at the moment but, this is so not the way I like to be woken up in the middle of the night! I hate it that he gets sick like this and there isn't anything I can do about it but pray and send positive thoughts his way... [:(]

Awww sweet I'm so sorry. Hope he gets better soon. I know what it's like just trying to pull enough air in to get a damn breath. I used to freak my poor dad to tears as a kid. I'd wake up screaming in the middle of the night, dead of winter, head & shoulders hanging out the bedroom window. Just. To. Get. One. Full. Breath. ER knew us well, antibiotics & icky syrup for bronchitis. ICK ACK UCK

That is terrifying! Hope he gets better soon. We discovered my daughter's asthma when she was sick. Went in to check on her around 2am because I thought I heard something, only to witness her shoot up gasping for air...while still sleeping. That was the scariest night.

He has a medical condition that causes his trachea and upper bronchial tubes to be too floppy so if he gets too much inflammation or congestion it starts closing his airway and he develops strider ( a cough that sounds like a seal barking....) Normally he is sick with a cold or something and we can see it coming and give him steroids and his second level inhaler and he doesn't get to the point he was at last night. This came out of nowhere! They think it was irritation from being at his best friend's house for several hours two days in a row with the best friend's mom smoking... She does it outside but they said it doesn't matter since it comes in on her clothes... He is doing much better today but he will need a couple of days of oral steroids and his second level inhaler to be all better... The scariest part was that the whole way to the emergency room he kept gasping out "Hurry, drive faster I am going to die!" ... [:(] Scared the hell out of all of us!

I am so happy that my nephew is feeling 95% better :-). Is the coffee machine fixed? I could use some caffeine right about now...

There are a bunch of essential oils if you put them into a steamer or a few drops with water in a dish you place over the heating, that will make breathing easier, won't cure it but might give him a bit more ease breathing.

Third hand smoke, him getting it off his friend's clothes who got it off his mother's. My son had a friend whose father smoked. I would pick the kid up from there and then I would wind up at the doctor's with yet another sinus infection. If he's that allergic to cigarette smoke, then he needs new friends.
