quote:
I used to wonder that EVERYDAY. ......EVERYDAY. I expel it now because I used to be there but now I am here. BTW your welcome. Why, what, when, where, how all questioned that fueled my anger. I have a furious temper that has always had to be kept in check. It blocked everything for me because I am not suppose to ask those questions. It blocks my understanding. I don't have the answers, I have one simple task, but that doesn't mean you wouldn't find the answers, or peace. If you believe anything is possible then it is, if you have no belief it isn't. Everyone has special gifts, if they find them. You must find them. It is a mystery to me if I allow myself to ask the question, Why wouldn't anyone be interested in finding their calling in excellence. I sympathize with your struggle. Job sought the answer to why a benevolent god would cause him to suffer so and basically god said: "Because I can." Soren Kierkegaard's solution was much like yours. He urged people to 'take a leap of faith.' Personally, I cannot reconcile a god of power & mercy to one who permits the killing of innocent babes by nature: weather and disease, or who allows up to 40% of human embryos to be aborted naturally. Seems like a demon in charge rather than a god to be worshipped.
