So since Im transgendered here are some first names (would replace my first and middle names) i been thinking of:

Armony
Brigid
Clarissa
Majoyuki- Witch of Snow
Pearl- Because I was born on Pearl Habor Day
Willow- Because my middle name is William

Tell me what you think.

I think if you go for 'Armony' people will constantly mis-hear it as Harmony. I wouldn't go for Majoyuki (Japanese?) unless you have that nationality in your background, because I think people will assume it's not your real name and you picked it because you're an anime fangirl. Which maybe you are, but that might not always be a part of your identity. Also people will forever be mispronouncing or misspelling it, which gets old when it's a name you use every day.

Pearl is nice but pretty unusual for your age group, which might be a pro or a con for you. Clarissa, Willow and Brigid all work I think.

Showing your age a bit there DaddySatyr, she wasn't even born when that movie came out.
My mind went to 'Clarissa explains it all' so I'm also showing my age I guess.

Would be kinda weird since my last name also starts with a P. How about Clarissa Willow P******** (im blocking out my last name, dont want to run the risk of someone i know finding out who i am). My original first name starts with Cl, and William is my middle name.

Yep. And since the film was about a male killer who was taking the skins of his female victims to cover himself and thereby 'become a woman' . . . I would *not* say that Clarice (or Clarisse) would be an apt choice!

Personally, I like Brigid, but I would worry about mispronunciation/spelling.

Well, while i can see why Majoyuki or Pearl might be pretentious, Brigid and Clarissa seem like normal names.

Well, while i can see why Majoyuki or Pearl might be pretentious, Brigid and Clarissa seem like normal names.


Two other thoughts about those two. "Brigid" sounds like "frigid." And I agree with the assessment that Clarissa makes me think of Silence of the Lambs. I was trying to think of why I wasn't liking the sound of "Clarissa" and then I realized I was hearing Hannibal Lecter call to Clarice in his slithering, manipulative way.

I voted for Willow because I love willow trees. They seem to bend and sway with all that happens around them. They seem carefree and beautiful. I believe these are all qualities you have or are seeking. But I also am the type when I was picking names for my kids....I used bits and pieces from those in my life that mean a great deal to me. You said that Willow would do that the best from your name already.....so I still stick with my choose of Willow. [:D]
