Have an open and honest discussion about your different needs for play. If you aren't sufficiently matched, then try looking for someone more compatible. Make it acceptable for her to ask for a beating and then give it to her. If the only way she's been able to get her needs met is by misbehaving, then it's your fault for not being clear in the very beginning and for rewarding this. She know believes and naturally, that you enjoy this play also. If you sometimes do, and sometimes do not, there is no way for her to know which is which. I'm sure she failed Mind Reading 101. But if you tell her you are disappointed in her behavior and she doesn't care, then there's a lot more wrong with your relationship than a punishment can fix.

Although I'll grant you, that itching sensation is definitely NOT sexy. To the OP: I don't recommend ignoring. Personally, if a dom just ignored me as 'punishment' it would make me doubt his ability to dominate me. Any fool can ignore someone. Even I do when someone pisses me off and I am certainly not dominant. You've had some other suggestions though which were quite good. So are you going to let us know which ones you tried and how she reacted?
