Just curious, I've heard all different responses from "football is a manly sport and no one wants to see that" to "wouldn't you kiss your partner if something that awesome happen to you?" If like to hear from y'all... Personally, I'm didnt think anything about any of it. I was excited he was in a mixed relationship! Right on! But that's about it. I wasn't grossed out or surprised or anything. I was happy for him.

If a kiss is a good one, it can certainly be a religious experience. :) For me, the only thing I felt was..."that's really nice, it's about time".

The only ones that find something like that wrong, are the same bigots that say "marriage is between a man and a women". And those bigots have joined other bigots that hate blacks in a tent. And under that tent are bigots that hate blacks and gay people. Its called 'The Grand Old Party' tent....

I'm old and from the old school, so it kind of made me think, "eeehhhh" but the world didn't explode or anything, didn't change anything in my life, so I guess its cool.

I don't follow football so I had no clue who it was. I can't say that I care who kisses who, but it is nice that he doesn't have to hide it any more. I also think it's sad that some people feels it's a problem for one man to kiss another and others will use it to show their hatred of anyone who doesn't hold the same political beliefs that they do.

Meh. I'm not a big PDA type person. I just think people are making a big fuss over him. So he's gay and he plays football. Is he a decent player? The only thing that should matter is how he plays.

I enjoy watching football but I'm not enough of a fanatic to take an interest in the draft. I am, though, glad to see one more barrier come crashing down but what I really enjoy is watching all of the bigots and bullies (I really loath both) having conniption fits.

I have been a football fan for a good 45 of my 50 years and I have watched and followed draft coverage for 25 years and I have never once seen a draft pick make out with his girlfriend and smoosh cake in her face..... just sayin

I’ll be honest…why not...he should have been smarter than that. Reality says it will be hard enough for testosterone filled athletes to totally accept him without the romantic displays. It would have been wise to keep the kissing to a private moment. Just as Jackie Robinson he needs to concentrate on his game and earn respect as a person among his peers. I am totally accepting of any lifestyle but when I saw it I still cringed a little. I can imagine the reaction among NFL players and many in the general public. Sure many of you will say “so what get over it bigots“…yea that will sure make a difference. I hope the time will come soon when gays displays of affection are just as accepted as heterosexuals. Acceptance of homosexuality in America is at a critical point and like it or not Sams, as the new spokesperson, will be closely scrutinized and how he conducts himself in public will go a long way towards acceptance by his peers and the general public.
