Status: offline 		Last night a tragically clueless young man killed 6 people and then himself at UC Santa Barbara. Apparently due to his involvement in the men's rights movement. He posted a truly disturbing video to youtube complaining that he was still a virgin and that it was the fault of the women and not at all that he was an incredibly creepy guy.

i was wondering the same thing. It wasn't apparent it had anything to do with men's rights from the news reports. I thought that came from the (now removed) YouTube video?

Hoover apparently was referring to a YouTube video titled "Retribution" posted by a young man. In the nearly seven-minute video, the young man rants about women who ignored or rejected him over the past eight years and warns that he will "punish you all for it."

Status: offline 		Have to say the perpetrator strikes me as an isolated, deranged, narcissistic, depraved, violent idiot. Hard to see him as any part of a larger movement.

Separateness, isolation, mental instability and guns mix in a toxic fashion.

I have to agree. Even DomKen's own CNN link describes him as, "a mentally disturbed 22-year-old man." But I'm also struck by the fact that instead of reporting this as a multiple shooting, it's being hysterically hyped as "mass murder".

It says that he wanted to be the alpha male and then made a ridiculous leap and tried to then assume that he was directly linked to the men's rights movement !!? Are feminists so desperate to blacken the name of people trying to fight for their rights that they have to resort to this childish unsubstantiated claims ? If anything it gives you a glimpse of feminists tactics..and nothing more....
