Away with the Native American symbols and embracing Zulu or Maasai Braves as their new Mascots. Celtic Chieftains anyone? Or how about Samurai and Grecian Warriors? Every vestige of Native American culture can be stripped from Sports, at least in the United States. How about that?

I was listening to talk radio on Thursday, and a caller was simply recounting the days the USA paid bounties for dead Indians and would offer $50.00 for a Redskin. For me, personally, it's pretty hard to white-wash that history. I also think it's kind of demented to try and change and romanticize the name with something else.

Did he happen to mention how long ago this happened? I seriously doubt any of the people who thought that was a good idea are still around today. Unless you are trying to imply that they grew up, bought a football team and named it after people they thought were inferior. Because back then they thought indians were inferior. That's why they killed so many of them. Nowadays most people know better.
