Someone (not cartels) but US business, somewhere, is making big bucks on this "Now a humanitarian crisis. Bet on it.
The U.S. doesn't let anything happen, that it does not want to happen.

If we don't then the USA will become a Third World Country.
The Senate recently approved $2 Billion this year (2014) to take care of the illegal immigrants crossing the border (last year in 2013 was about $900 million). The US has Veteran's and homeless US Citizen's that need assistance.
The US spends $1 Billion per year protecting the Mexico Border but they let illegal immigrant's cross over and usually give them Amnesty (unless they're a Terrorist or Criminal).
It cost US Citizen's approximately $10,000 per year for each illegal immigrant student attending K-12 Grades. Notice the higher increase on your Property Taxes (or Rent).
They have Health Clinics specifically set up to treat illegal immigrant's throughout the US that are funded by the Government (our federal tax dollars).
The Debt in the US is $17 Trillion and rising. The US may default on the Debt or cut off Social Security. If they default then the US will be owned by China.

Why are these kids not being sent back to their country of origin??? Why are they in "holding" places???? Get some damned "holding" places across the river in good ole Mexico. Let THEM hold them. They let them come through THEIR country to get to OURS. Stop ALL aid to the countries from which these kids are coming AND Mexico. Get their families who are already here illegally to come pick them up and when they do, round up the whole lot of em and use military transport planes and send them back to Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, from wherever they came. HERE ARE SOME VERY INTERESTING STATS, FOLKS, READ THEM AND WEEP, OR GET OFF YOUR BUTTS AND VOTE FOR THOSE WHO ARE FOR ENFORCING THE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS AND NOT COMING UP WITH SOME IMMIGRATION "REFORM." * 83 percent of warrants for murder in Phoenix are for illegal aliens
* 86 percent of warrants for murder in Albuquerque are for illegal aliens.
* 75 percent of those on the most wanted list in Los Angeles, Phoenix and Albuquerque are illegal aliens.
* 24.9 percent of all inmates in California detention centers are Mexican nationals
* 40.1 percent of all inmates in Arizona detention centers are Mexican nationals
* 48.2 percent of all inmates in New Mexico detention centers are Mexican nationals
* 29 percent (630,000) of convicted illegal alien felons fill Arizona and federal prisons at a cost of $1.6 billion annually
* 53 percent plus of all investigated burglaries reported in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas are perpetrated by illegal aliens.
* 50 percent plus of all gang members in Los Angeles are illegal aliens
* 71 percent plus of all apprehended cars stolen in 2005 in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada and California were stolen by Illegal aliens or "transport coyotes."
* 47 percent of cited/stopped drivers in California have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 47 percent, 92 percent are illegal aliens.

* 66 percent of cited/stopped drivers in New Mexico have no license, no insurance and no registration for the vehicle. Of that 66 percent, 98 percent are illegal aliens.
* 380,000 plus "anchor babies" were born in the United States to illegal alien parents in just one year, making 380,000 babies automatically US citizens.
