don't use fleet enemas. They soften the stool and make it gooey…the goal is to get it all out without making a mudslide. Warm, soapy water enemas work best…get on your hands and knees, then put your chest down so your ass is up in the air. Insert the enema and hold it in as long as you can. It will get everything out if not the first time, then it should by the second time. Baby wipes are great for wrapping around your finger and poking up inside to make sure you're clean. Sometimes, inserting a soapy finger can cause a bowel movement on its own, and an enema isn't needed. After enough practice, you'll be able to tell which approach to take, based on how close you are to having a bowel movement normally….if you stick a finger up and feel one "in the chamber", then fingering yourself with a soapy finger might be sufficient. If you feel you're going to have to go soon, but it hasn't gotten that close yet, then a soapy enema might be needed.
