Ladies, Galacia's post regarding femDom porn got me thinking. One of the underlying premises is that all porn is done for the target audience of men. Sooooo...

If there was to be a kind of porn specifically aimed at women, what would you women want to see in it? Is there something you would actually pay for (because what really drives porn is what brings in revenue)?

I don't think I'd ever pay for porn cause I'm cheap and good with my budget.

To be honest I watch a good deal of porn now. I started watching porn when I was you know..."around" 18, on my own. I didn't have a man introduce me to it even.
I've always been very comfortable with my own sexuality and masturbating. I'd probably do poorly in chastity, like, when we say "Men sometimes do poorly in chastity because it brings attention to the fact you can't touch it", and I think that describes me also.
I'm also kinda slutty, I usually just don't have the balls to back it up- I'm basically cripplingly afraid of getting STDs- so porn is a lovely way to live out that fantasy without the danger.
I like porn that is typically...not what I hear other ladies are necessarily into?
I am into like...gang bang/public porn. Things that I could never do.

That is to say, I think I already like porn. But I'm well aware it is fantasy.

I'm also not really gushy relationship-y minded. I never have been. My current relationship is the longest I've ever had, its one of the ONLY monogamous relationships I've had. I don't need to be in love to have sex with someone at all. I've notoriously had friends with benefits and continued the friendship after the physical stuff has ended. So I wonder if that typically more "masculine" view of sex so perhaps I have a more "masculine" view of porn?

shiftyw, you and I are wired quite differently. It works for you and your partner, so that's all that matters.

The kind of "porn" I would bother to watch is "soft porn." I don't get into watching hard porn. Period.
Either soft porn with decent acting, an actual plot and storyline, an international setting or a tropical vacation locale, or else an erotic thriller with a surprise twist at the end.
Foreigners are usually more interesting than Americans.
If the male protagonist is not sexy or if he's unattractive, then I can't really get into it.

OP, I'd pay to buy a classic love story on DVD, such as Lady Chatterley's Lover.
But would I shell out money for classic John Holmes stuff? Hell no.
I used to videotape some late-night bawdy British sex comedies, but that came with my cable subscription.

There are a number of companies that focus specifically on porn for women. They've been doing it for decades. I know Good Vibrations used to have contacts with quite a few of them. What usually ends up happening is that someone indicates that there should be porn for women and someone will start trying to go about creating it. Meanwhile, the same companies that cater to exactly that continue to do exactly that and people don't even realize they've been doing it all along.

ETA- HOWEVER- I tend to watch stuff with all kinds of body types. I am a big girl and I can't watch skinny, perky titted girls all the time cause I eventually stop relating. I also appreciate condom use in porn immensely. I actually don't find it hard to find the first one of those, but condoms are harder to find and I would love to change that!

I watch porn once in a while, used to watch it more often when I was between relationships but I would not pay for any kind of porn.

What I like varies depending on what I'm in the mood to watch at the time, it could be one on one male/female, 3somes (mmf or ffm), gang bangs, lesbian, male gay (that's one he won't watch with me but doesn't care if I watch it). I don't want a plot, I just want them get down to the nitty gritty.

I'm picky about what they look like. I like the people to be minimum age of 40ish, grey hair on the guy is a plus, grey hair with a beard/mustache is a huge plus, they were my preferences even when I was young. I don't like the "perfect" body type on either the men or women, no fake tits and no 6 pack abs men. No pussy hair either.

A while back a friend sent me a link to an exceptionally good flogging video, best one I've seen. I didn't save it, the friend didn't save it and I haven't been able to find it since.

I go through porn ebb and flow depending on my relationship status. Being in a relationship, I don't have as much interest in porn that I have when I'm not in a relationship. I do watch it occasionally (more when I'm on my travels and not home for weeks at a time) and we do watch it together at times but it just isn't as arousing for me to watch when I can have the real deal. I was the same way when I was with my former Dom/husband.

My interest in porn ebbs and flows, too. Now that I think about it, I don't think I've watched any porn since becoming interested in BDSM a few months ago. Been too obsessed with reading about the lifestyle and finding a Domme, heh.

When I do watch it, I have a few specific preferences. Amateur, full body and Sinn Sage. Amateur porn is the best porn, IMO. And I really prefer seeing the full body of porn performers. I want to see the muscles twitch and the full motions and reactions of the body- including the face. I love people's ugly ass sex-faces. So hot! Hah. Close up genital shots are so boring to me, though, and seem to go on forever. Oh and I hate watching deep-throat blow jobs in porn. Probably because of my own sensitive gag reflex. And it's just boring. Partly clothed sex scenes are hot, IMO. And I love Sinn Sage. I'm a bisexual woman and it's cool to watch a female performer who takes a girl/girl scene and runs with it. You know she shows up to have fun and she is seriously amazing to watch. The most believeable girl-on-girl performer since Nina Hartley.

Still, I would never pay for porn, ever, no.

I like some of the weird bits. I recently watched a woman who was rubbing a book up and down herself. I loved it. I also saw something once where women were tied up on the lawn so that one woman was forced to have her face in between the other woman's legs and they were both being hosed down by men watching them from lawn chairs. Loved it.

I don't watch it at all. But when I have caught glimpses, my reactions are solely based on whether the woman seems to be enjoying herself. If she doesn't come off as sincerely having a good time, it's an immediate turn off.

Totally an emotional reaction, not based on activities.

Good question, DS!

I guess for me the real issue with most porn is that it's just so damned fake and seems so obviously geared toward men's gratification. I'd like to see it way more focused on the women's orgasms than porn typically is. I'd like to see a real sense of connection between the actors: either they're actual partners in real life, or they're damned good actors with "chemistry." I can't stand the huge close-ups of genitalia nor the unlikely poses the actors take just for so-called visual appeal, so I'd like to see both of those eliminated. I also enjoy seeing condoms used in porn. And real plots with humor, drama or suspense would be interesting.

I'd watch femdom porn if it were actually made by and for female dominants. In addition to all of the above, I envision that including women dressed in more "pedestrian" clothing, not necessarily done up in leather, latex, and heels they can't possibly walk in. I envision it genuinely focusing more on the femdom's gratification than on the sub's. And I'd like to see some actual human-to-human dialog and not just fantasy-fed derogatory slurs.

I think she is in her early to mid sixties. Remember, she has been in there since just after high school, went from performer to director............producer..........I dont know if she is still active though. I found out she doesnt really swallow, so I left her.
