I loved what you had to say, GreedyTop. He gave so much to us throughout his career. It is very sad to me as well that someone who brought that much happiness, laughter, and joy to others felt so devastatingly sad himself. I can only hope that the loss of Robin Williams will spark frank and honest discussions about suicide and depression. We have so many military folks coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan who end their lives because of all the trauma they have suffered. I think the statistic is something like 23 veterans per day are committing suicide. If anything good can come from this, it's my hope that there is a massive increase in empathy and understanding for the suffering others endure. quote:
ORIGINAL: GreedyTop Manko -apparently you have NO idea what truly diagnosed clinical depression can do to a person (or you are simply so self-centered that you don't care). I'm sorry you get sad when you break a nail. I hope you seek therapy soon, so that you may be able to at least fake empathy. When one is so impressed with whatever gems spew forth from their word hole, they can't be bothered with ridiculous details like the huge night and day difference between brain chemistry altering clinical depression and temporary sadness or the "woe-is-me Im so EMO" sadness shit. Perhaps if Robin had just pulled himself up by his damned bootstraps like she did, he wouldn't have had the audacity to die
