ORIGINAL: joether Can you say 'playing politics' with government resources (aka wasteful spending)? I sure can. You seem to be supporting the notion, Mr. I-Want-Limited-Government..... Someone whom ACTUALLY wanted limited government would not support spending tax dollars chasing the political equivalent of the boogey man. The evidence from many studies on the topic show that voter fraud's frequency is so low as to be non-existence towards changing the outcomes of elections. You have to be trying to be this fucking stupid. Government acting in the ways it's supposed to act (a la preserving the right to vote of Citizens) is consistent with a limited government. The idea of a "limited" government is that it has it's powers limited (as opposed to have unlimited power), and that it's size is limited to what is needed to exercise those limited powers. But, do continue to remove all doubt about your being a fool. An yet, you explained nothing that is tangible. Since I can argue, using your 'definition' of 'Limited Government', that the current government is indeed limited. If it was unlimited power, ISIS would not be in existence, the Tea Party would have been hanged by now, there would be no federal debt, taxes would be perfect, and citizens happen with said government. So obviously, we do not have an 'unlimited powers' government right now. More importantly, the size of government doesn't have an bearing on whether its a 'Good' or 'Bad' government. Haiti had a small government and was completely wrecked by just one disaster. Yet, when a super hurricane hits America, the whole of the nation does not stop as well. Where as Russia is a big country, but its citizens live like 2nd world citizens. Its country side littered with toxic dumps of one kind or another (was will happen in this country should the EPA ever be removed). We have a good government that is the right size to handle the needs and wants of its people. But yet, you can not give a good, reasonable argument for why to waste resources on voter ID laws, when voter fraud is so low in scale as to be rendered irrelevant. Someone for 'Limited Government' would not be in favor of unlimited government. But that's what your doing here!
